Great Potential
There are a lot of tricky holes to test your skills. The greens were in good condition although tricky to read. The T boxes were a bit rough and ready and in need of some work to bring up to a good standard. The grass on the Fairways was too long with great swathes of clover which affected the distance. The course felt as though it played longer than we expected due to the condition.Unfortunately there isn't any option for food but you can get a drink. although the Club house is in need of TLC and decoration
The outside area planters are full of dead weeds and do not enhance the first impression.

Mr
Rang up to book myself and a friend a T Time. We are both average/beginner level. Have played the course many times before. The first question iGot asked was “have you played here this year” to this my answer was no. The next response was “we don’t want beginners on the course” what a lovely friendly course you have. Such a pitty as was going to try and get my game to a better level and look at a membership. But I feel I have dodged a bullet. Such a shame as really enjoyed playing the course before but I can only assume the PGA must be knocking and they don’t want green fees from locals.

Social round golf.
Not a member at any particular club these days so try and play a few different courses welton being only short distance away for me is convenient as I don't get play on what I would call regularThe course is not the most testing but overall in fairly good condition and greens are a decent standard ideal for the everage golfer single figure men probably find it fairly easy I surpose but every course has to be played.Reviewer Rating

Great pay and play course in very good condition which you would expect in May - got round in 3.5 hours after some longish delays with a slow 3 ball in front, so not bad considering. Course is very well laid out with short walks to next tee - there are quite a few sharp doglegs which make you think about what shot to take off the tee/next shot and placement - not just go for the driver/distance - some nice signature holes - all in all definitely want to play course again on my next trip to Lincoln.Reviewer Rating
