With the recent heavy rain the course is the only venue in 25 years to remain open.visitors are welcome if they make the usual arrangements and book beforehand.the course is in great condition for sensible golfersReviewer Rating

The course is situated on gently sloping and undulating land which is mainly on limestone,the course is therefore free draining and am assured the course has never closed since opening.the austere green keeping ensures that greens are open all year

The only course I regularly played over the winter was bracken Hill. The course was open every day and played to full greens throughout the whole year!

With the demise of the chafer grub the course is in excellent condition. The short fourth has resumed its original lay out after re designing to make it even trickier. The new green extensions to greens five and six have responded to seeding and will provide a sterner test next year. Good golfers wanted.Reviewer Rating

This is a private member course.There are tight fairways and deep bunkers.
The good news is there are no trees on the fairways.
Its a proper links course you need to play smart.
Shot 34 for nine this morning.

The winter has seen changes at bracken Hill. A new practice chipping green and putting green and a new layout that will allow for practice of all shots next winter. Happy better golf.

The quality of the course goes from strength to strength. With the completion of the back nine over the winter the course should be the only destination for golfers in the area. The coaching is of the highest standard and better golf is guaranteed

Having just visited the course, I was informed it is a Private Members club and only playable by members. A Shame really as it looked in excellent condition as as I only visit the area once a month, I can't really warrant another membership.

I learned to play initially at this course. Steph the owner provides free classes ans is very helpful. The course is a classic course i.e greens are not watered and plays well. A challenging little course and well worth considering. The course has recently been enlarged to 18 holes.

I agree with the previous comment. The course is still in its infancy and will compete well with close by Pottergate, but only when the clubhouse is finished.

Although still in the process of being completed this course offers some fantastic holes where accuracy will really pay off. Whne its finished it will be superb, great looking club house on its way and whats more the owner even offers free coaching on a tues and thurs evening. What more could you ask......
