The course is a fairly long, gently undulating parkland course with many interesting features including:
- a dog-leg approach to the 1st green around (or over) a cleverly hidden water hazard
- the long dog-leg par 5 2nd which tempts us regular slicers to attempt to pinch some yardage round the corner - An attempt which inevitably ends in a disastrous venture into a grove of new planted trees - and chipping out sideways with no guarantee of a clear 3rd shot
- the blind 7th "bell hole" which punishes anyone who tries to drive the obvious line close to the nearby trees by giving them no clear 2nd shot to the green
- the very short par 4 9th which looks like a par 3 but will still take a driver to get up the hill to. An ideal birdie opportunity, though.
The course finishes off with a deceptively short par 3 from an elevated tee - which invites a pitching wedge from the unwary but actually requires an 8 iron to get up to the pin on the higher tier of the stepped green for most mortals.
All in all, an excellent challenge for every grade of player and one that you'll be wanting to repeat again before long.
The good times don't finish on the course - After your round, try out the excellent range of hot sandwiches in the very friendly clubhouse - or peruse the stock in the newly refurbished pro-shop.
This is a private club that non-members will feel at home at. The atmosphere is cordial and relatively informal but manages to maintain high standards of etiquette without being stuffy or overbearing. (Wayne would approve!)
Overall, this club comes very highly recommended as far as this particular non-member is concerned.

Fantastic course
A well located and challenging course. Accuracy of the tee is key with many tree lined fairways. The reward for an accurate drive is the chance to go for one of the impressively quick greens which roll fast but true.Reviewer Rating

A good parkland course, with tree lined fairways throughout
A fair test, particularly off the white tees, driving accuracy at a premium because of the tree lined fairways, but the greens are very good throughout the year.Reviewer Rating
