Nowhere better in the area for the price. Incomparable to other local deals. Course in really good nick..........greens, tee boxes and fairways all nicely presented. Excellent views and lots of different holes/challenges. Friendly staff and other members. No negative points......except the tightness of the course with respect to automatic 'fore' shout every time you miss the fairway!

Super course with many stand out holes. Quite short but a good test of golf. Greens very good, fast and true. Excellent value for money - best course in the Tyne valley

Fantastic course - impeccable condition , designed to look playable but don't be fooled this course can quickly bite , what a gem !!!!

Always in good condition as it is a well looked after 'members' club. It is quite a small course but still most holes defined and very scenic, it has big undulations so although short at under 6000yds, you will certainly feel like you have played 7000yds+. A few filler holes but overall very enjoyable, quite a few blind tee shots so best advice would be play it twice to fully enjoy the experience. Like most Colt designs it has a lovely feel and natural look but with modern equipment it could do with 20yds extra on each hole as bunkering, harzards etc are out of date landing zone wise.

If you are visiting the North East and golfing, you must put this course on your list as a 'must play'. The course was immaculate when I played and in the top three of northern courses I have visited. Club house food is excellent.

played this course in december as i was told it is a great course that stands up to the wonderful winter weather we get. This i'm glad to say was no understatement, it was in fantastic nick, the greens were excellent and you left with virtually clean slacks. Bonus. Golf hole wise there wasn't a bad hole, views and undulations are great and there are a couple of real testers in index's 1 and 2. Will defo play again.

this course is fantastic.The views over the tyne valley are beautiful. The variation of holes is amazing with undulating fairways, subtle hidden hazards and beautiful greens, it is a real joy to play. A true "hidden gem!" If you are in the north east it is well worth seeking out and treating yourself to a round (or two!)

Tyneside is an excellent test of golf. Every hole is different and accuracy is paramount off the tee. The greens are always in immaculate condition and consistent in their pace. I would recommend this courese to anyone who would like to experience a typical Colt course.

Lovely course, warm welcome.
I really enjoyed playing this course and will be playing it again next spring. The greens had recently been worked on and the weather had been really wet in the weeks leading up to our game, but it was still in great condition and I am looking forward to our spring visit.(Round played: Sep 2017 - Score: 94 Handicap: 15.2)
