All in all challenging course but in places forgiving . Can't wait play in summer definitely recommend this course . Friendly welcome in pro-shop , little hidden gem this course .

Lovely Course

We came last winter and had to abandon our round, due to the rain and wind. But we liked the layout, and wanted to return when the weather was better. We returned on a beautiful sunny day, and we absolutely loved this course. It is really well laid out, and when the new clubhouse is finished it will be superb. One minor criticism, a few more directional markers would help. This was our first full round here, and twice members of our group manage to find the green only to discover it wasn't the green for the hole we were playing.
We will be back.

Great course

A superb heathland golf course set around the rolling moors.
It's a superb course & well worth playing if you're in the area.

tough course and physically challenging

A real challenge with fast and difficult greens. Local knowledge would help as some of the fairways and greens are totally blind. Still worth a return visit.

Always a challenge

Earmarked as the hardest course of our charity day, the course was clear for us and in good condition. Good fitness training up and down hills.

Nice - hilly - course

Nice - hilly - course. The first looks intimidating, and the steep uphill gets the blood pumping.
Some nice holes.
The course is in good condition.

Greens are lovely

Course looked great, greens running very true.
Fairways a little too firm but that's a personal preference, made it a little difficult around the greens.

Great Challenge

We play this course regularly and still it’s a very interesting. No two holes are the same with a variety of challenges, plus you rarely get a flat lie. Added to this are the fabulous views especially from the higher part of the course.

Stunning Views

Regularly play this course which is usually in excellent condition and has some stunning views. Each hole is different presenting so all parts of your game will be tested - not a flat Course but the extra exercise is worth it - otherwise buggies are available to hire.

First time I played this course, very interesting layout, would either need a course planner or local knowledge, 2 holes have wicked doglegs!!
Par 3's on the back 9 are very challenging!!
Will play again.
