Disappointed
Arrived at course and only having a nusmver of holes open. Would have been nice to know this before or at least offered 50% refund seeming as the course was not playable.The hopes we did play, 10 to 15 and 7,8,9 were fun. Would like to revisit when/if the other holes open.

Good course, but very hilly older persons would need a buggy. Plus drainage on some holes could be improved.

Tee to green the course is great with some lovely varied holes, not particularly long but the uphill nature of some par 4s make it seem longer. The only down side was the greens. They really needed a cut and roll. You needed to be on steroids to get putts to the hole. It seems we just timed our round badly as the green keepers were mowing as we finished our round (no doubt in readiness for a match that was about to start)and you could see the difference on the practice green. Also strangely one hole had to be played off a mat for no apparent reason made more difficult by the fact it had no provision to push in tees. Defo worth getting a course planner as pro's tips are a must. Staff were friendly and the food was good too. Well worth another visit provided greens have been cut

A number of greens were very overdue a cut with tufts of grass growoijg=ng out of previously aerated holes which was very poor and impacted on our game

good course lots of up and down hills put great fairways and good greens as a beginner very happy to play on local course

Exellent course! Buggy strongly reccomended
Fantastic variety and great use of the contours of the land reminds me of St Mellion. If you haven't been here before a course guide would help as its easy to over shoot some doglegs and run out of fairway.I would also suggest a buggy if you are not goot with hills.... One member told me its a great course if you are part goat!!
I had a push cart and felt every step of the elevation changes which differ 62m from its lowest to higest points!
Would I play again? Absolutely, I loved it.

Just returned from Trethorne Hotel & Golf Club, which played host for the weekend to our Coukoo’s Golf Society.
The weather was sunny with a challenging wind.The course had suffered a little from the recent storm Eunice but considering the amount of wind and torrential rain it had received we felt lucky to have been able to play at all. The 16th was closed and only two holes had temporary greens.
As a 16 strong society we were treated to a fantastic winter deal which was backed up by accommodation and food choices that exceeded our expectations.
The staff were friendly with a “can do” attitude.
As the tour Captain, I received nothing but great feedback from the other group members.
