Like playing this course as this is where I first learned to play. Clubhouse and facilities are very tired and could do with an uplift.

Thorne golf club is a very traditional club and very set in there waysthe general course was in fairly good condition but some of the pin positions were a bit ridiculous
one was even blind approach on a par 3 hole
greens were not the best condition with very bobbly and grass contamination has left bare patches
club house very dated and old fashioned but pleasant

TLC Needed
Cheap and cheerful and always on full tees and greens all year round so it's greens are never in good condition,it's ok if you want a quick round plus in autumn there are leaves everywhere even nearly totally covering one par 3 green.Reviewer Rating

Good day out.
Had a lovely round with the course to myself (Sunday PM). Very short but quite tight, most would be better off leaving their driver in the car. Greens were in reasonable condition, a little slow but true. Overall a good test of your short game and worth the money.Reviewer Rating

Ok for a quick cheap round, the course doesn't drain well so any overnight rain and it's very boggy.

Good golf course. Greens in good condition even though torrential rain caught us out. Keep your drives straight or you'll be punished in the tree lined sides. 18th is a very nice finishing hole

The course is hard if you go off line. The course was is a great condition. The markers for 150 are not at correct measurement. Found drive really not required, I would play again but not on a regular period.
