Don't like it!
Thorne is one of those courses you either love or hate - sorry, for me it's one I hate though I'd never not play there if I was asked to by a friend! Not for me, never has been! The last hole is good fun, so is the first and there's a coupla steep dog legs that are a giggle - that's it! Staff have always been pleasant enough and it's cheap and cheerful enough in the bar! Club shop is better stocked than the course quality probably warrants! Still - it's all personal opinion!(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 85 Handicap: 19.3)

Good day out.
Had a lovely round with the course to myself (Sunday PM). Very short but quite tight, most would be better off leaving their driver in the car. Greens were in reasonable condition, a little slow but true. Overall a good test of your short game and worth the money.Reviewer Rating

Ok for a quick cheap round, the course doesn't drain well so any overnight rain and it's very boggy.

It was good, had been raining hard up till tee off time, the rain then stopped,water soon went away and course was fine, all 18 greens and full grass tees.
