Very tough course in reasonable condition. It was a bit of a slog in the wind but enjoyable.

Good course but very difficult gorse if you go slightly left or right of the fairway. Would still recommend though

Mixed views - but still a must play resort.

Visited Turnberry for the first time - 1 night/2 round package for 4 golfers. None of us were that impressed with the Robert the Bruce course, distinctly average with most of the par 4s very similar. greens were good. The Ailsa course gets better & better as your round progresses ; first class greens, bunkering and such a variety of holes, stunning views, elevation changes etc to contend with (& the weather!). Definitely in my top 10 courses played. Would also add that the hotel/food was very good (although as you would expect - pricey!). Shame that due to Covid impacts on staff the halfway house lighthouse was closed (& no food/drink in the clubhouse) either. Was still, overall, a great experience.

New Kintyre

Enjoyed the new set up and had the benefit of playing the course on a day where the wind was manageable and the rain wasn't there after we putted out on the 2nd green

We played the Ailsa course on a very windy day so the course was more challenging than usual but the course and greens were in good condition with stunning scenary all around. The resort provided everything in top notch condition the only downside was the cost of food and drink , especially at the halfway house ( the old lighthouse) but otherwise very good.

Can't fault the incredible facilities at Turnberry where no expense has been spared however, it was unfortunate that the competition we played was on a composite of the Kintyre and the Arran, 14 of one and 4 of the other and not on the Ailsa. No matter, an excellent days golf on superb Scottish links and a great experience.
