The course played fantastically well, although was quite slow on a Friday. Nice facilities, but could do with some lines in the carpark to prevent some people taking up far more room than they needed.

Nice course but not pleasant in the rain, gets waterlogged very quickly. Stuuning views and a great setting with well crafted holes.

First time playing this course, interesting course greens make you think lots of breaks and slopes. Green keeper has a sense of humour with pip placements.

I just played this course today for the 1st time. I have been trying to arrange a society trip to play the Rolls for a couple of years, but it tends to be very expensive. It wasn't too bad today on Winter fees but it's still not cheap. The setting is spectacular, in the grounds of an old Mansion. Slightly disappointingly, the club house is in an old stable block and doesn't live up to the grandeur of the other buildings. Also, I found the facilities didn't meet that of the best around, which I would expect given the premium price that the club charges.

That all being said, it is a great course. Given that it rained on and off all day and has been raining most of the last couple of weeks, the course had suffered and was very boggy in places and balls were plugging, the greens were immaculate. The course is a challenge but fair and it is nicely mature. I found the front 9 a more impressive set of holes than the back, there is more mature trees whereas the back 9 is a bit more open and less developed.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this course and was very impressed with the course itself and the surroundings. It is still a bit expensive and needs to do more with the club house to truly justify that in my eyes but I would come back and definitely recommend to others.

What a course! Spectacular in every way, greens great and the views tremendous. Would definitely recommend...BUT....the catering was very poor!!
Went on part of a package and received notice that we were required to wear collar and tie for "dinner", so we did. Thought we were getting funny looks and then in walked part of a larger group in their scruffs!! Plus the meal was very poor I'm afraid. A minor blip on an otherwise fine day out, go and enjoy!!

The golf course was playing very nice. It's in great condition as you would expect in mid June, the greens were deceptive looking quit fast, but this was not the case and I was caught out a few times leaving putts short to the hole. The fairways were quit generous but if you hit the rough it was quite thick (a firm grip needed). Good value for money it cost £35 for a round after 12pm. This is a course that you should put on your list to play.
