Good course with a wide variety of challenging holes. Was in very good condition when we played and the staff and facilities on site are perfect.

Annual 4 day break, course suitable for medium - high handicap golfers, very good condition. Location great, Food excellent, Rooms need a bit of TLC. Buggy hire very expensive.

Lovely course spoilt by condition of greens

A lovely course spoilt by the unkept condition of the greens. Great value for money venue, nice challenging short course with plenty of hazards. The fairways and tees were ok but the greens were pretty poor and not cared for. Staff blamed the recent weather but looked like more. Wouldn't stop a return visit but you need to understand your putts don't run true. The accommodation was adequate, the bar prices a little steep but the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the catering were excellent.

Relaxing Round

Played her for the first time with my son we both throughly enjoyed the course the layout and fellow golfers the only downside was players failed to wait for us to finish playing on hole 14 as we had not run the bell to say that the hole was clear was a bit annoying as we are not slow players

Fantastic venue

A fantastic venue for a visit. We had an overnighter with 2 rounds. The course is short but never the less challenging. In great condition and very enjoyable to play. The hotel, dining area, staff, food, shop and hospitality were all excellent and very good value for money paid. All of my 12 person party loved it and would wish to return anytime. A great find and a better deal.

Good Society Venue

Whilst the practice facilities are poor the actual course was very enjoyable to play. Although quite a short course it has a lot of blind holes (both up and downhill) and plenty of ditches and other hazards to negotiate.

Course is in great condition and looks good too, greens immaculate. Bunkers could do with some more sand though. Every hole is different, with a number of ponds in play if you are not careful, each hole provides a different challenge. Pro shop very friendly and clubhouse provides plenty of options. Pace of play was a little slow as we were following the Seniors. Value for money and will always play here.

Nice characterful course

Nice course, challenging holes. Buggies not required but we had them as this was day 2 of 3 in the area. Greens in great condition, fairways ok. Nice views on a fair few holes, 10 and 17 stood out.

I'm a member here.

Brilliant membership and green fee rates at this really pretty course.

After years of being a nomadic golfer I was concerned I would get bored playing 95% of my golf on one track but it has been really nice over the last 18 months getting to know a course really well and I have shot some PB scores here.

The course is forgiving enough for beginners or those who are a little wild off the tee to still enjoy the game, but offers enough challenge to better players. This summer the greens were superb although slower than many in the area where the greens are kept a little longer to protect them for high midweek traffic due to the hotel.

The greenkeeping staff have done a superb job with the course over the last 18 months since I've been playing there.

The club could improve the course by adding simple wins.

Ball cleaners (even every 3 holes)
Warm up net.
Colour code flag (white, yellow, red) flags for back, middle, front of the green.
A Bell on the 13th green would also be a good idea..

I look forward to playing here through the winter.
