Great course- membership option is great value ( free to join & gives you £22 green fees at weekends instead of £30, 50 free balls at the range, 2 for 1 at the restaurant & a free 30 min golf lesson ) course playing very well today- lost a few balls but very enjoyable round with good standard of fairways and true greens

Great course! Excellent conditions fairways nice, greens brilliant! A true test only short but you need to be in the right places! Stay in the fairway cos the rough is nasty! Thick and grippy! Nice clubhouse staff.

A great course in the summer months, greens very hard and fast. Does not cope with heavy rainfall well and I typically avoid between Nov and Apr

Styal course is the best pay and play I have played on I normaly play the very hilly south downs courses around brighton
The course is flat and very well bunkered as I ended in a few, but the greens were the best I have come across undulating and very fast overall I will always come and play this course every time I come north to visit.

Great place to get started for me. Friendly pro, friendly shop staff. Range is never full. Instruction has improved my game no end. Course is good. Back 9 nicer than the front. Front feels a bit field like - Back is more parkland. No stuff institutionalised attitude showing through so far. Par 3 Academy course is great for tuning the short game.

Front 9 is much longer and challenging than back 9. Was in nice condition and greens evens stood upto a 30 min rainstorm whilst playing, drying out very quickly. Long grass and out of bounds comes into play if you are not hitting it straight. Course requires you to think on each tee adn not just pull out the driver.
