Not as intimate as other venues. You are there whilst they are catering for weddings.

First time I played here today and the course wasn't too bad but the golf was spoilt by the weather.
Some very attractive holes, tight and difficult but mixed in with some really ordinary boring holes.
All the par 3's are tough and interesting to play.
A lot of very big greens which in general rolled very well apart from 1 or 2 bobbles.
OOB on quite a few holes as well of plenty of water hazards.
Tedious changing room arrangement, you can change into your waterproofs/golfing clothes in the locker room but you have to put your golf shoes on outside in a shed like hut ( not a great idea in the winter )

A fairly good course in good condition but some of the holes don't have much going for them.
Not too difficult for beginner to moderate golfers and excellent facilities but I am surprised at the level of its rating - seems a little high to be honest.

Considering the amount of rain we have had was not in too bad a condition, fairways a little soft but greens fine. Nice to play off the tees and not off mats as am at my course. Enjoy the variation of holes here and forgiving fairways

All good considering current hot/dry conditions (July 22) tee boxes flat fairways wide and tree lined avoid (difficult to find ball due to leaves) greens quiet fast with slopes (practise green flat) and most are protected by bunkers some could do with some sand and not concrete. Major criticism poorly sign posted green to next tee, Tee signs all on seat side of of benches which face the fairway so you don't know if you are at right tee, would not be hard to change to back of seat. Would play again.

Greens slow but in good condition. Windy conditions. Long but open and wide fairways. A few water hazards and generally a good course.

Manor Manor
Played the 3rd 9 holes at Stock Brook. Course in great nick, tee boxes and fairways good and greens in excellent condition. New tee on 8th makes it challenging from white tees. Sat am green fees may put punters off, ?40 for 18 holes.Reviewer Rating

Excellent test of golf
Although I am a member of this club, I can honestly say what wonderful condition the course is in and compares so much better than many of the courses I have played during the year. It is great to see so many green keepers out making our course welcome for members and visitors.Reviewer Rating
