St.Michaels cosy clubhouse and staff was very welcoming. The course consists of two, very different parts. Once upon a time, it must have been a nine hole course, but this made it more interesting to play.

A great little course just outside St Andrews

If and when you are in Fife in Scotland then this is one to add to your playing list. I last played this about 30 years ago when I lived in the area. We decided to include this one on our tour list and glad that we did. The front nine is a newer part of the course as it was primarily a 9hole course which you played twice. However it has now been upgraded to an 18 hole course. The back nine has been kept as the original 9 holes and there are a couple of amazing holes to play on the back 9. For the price that we paid ( ?11 on a Tuesday ) it was an absolute bargain and I would recommend this highly at anything under ?25 in the area.

Brilliant course greens were immaculate course had a lot of great holes especially the back 9. We managed to get booked up for £15 midweek with an early tee time. If your staying at St Andrews definitely try this course. I’m just restarting out at golf and was open enough but challenging as well and my uncle who plays off 11 and played numerous courses also said it was a great course.

Great course. Its matured great since I last played it 13 years ago. Had to stop at the 13th until a thunderstorm had passed but this still didn't stop me enjoying the course. Definitely going to return and get a better score.

Fun course for an evening walk

Really fun shorter course with a nice variety of holes. Played it on a misty evening which may have added to the grandeur of some of the tee shots. Plenty of elevation change to keep players on their toes - and a really dramatic finish with 14, 15 and 16 tucked away in a tight corner of the course.
Played as lockdown was ending so didn't experience club facilities or food.

Superb Value for Money

Great wee course best to St Andrews - The home of golf. Although for a fraction of the price. Really friendly clubhouse and members.
The course is in great condition and there are no winter mats or greens, which is a big draw.
The par 3 15th is a real stand out hole, down a large hill towards the village of St. Michaels and the railway line.
Definitely going to be playing again.

Fun course at a bargain price

It's a relatively short course, but the terrain provides a fun and interesting round. Great use of changing elevation makes for some unique holes, and provides for some of my favourite par 3s anywhere. The signature 15th hole is a terrific and extremely difficult par 3 teeing off from a height down on to a hard-to-hit green.

The roasting hot weather this summer has baked out almost every fairway in Scotland, and here is no different, but the greenskeeper has done a terrific job on the greens which are still in great condition.

The clubhouse is modest but cosy and welcoming, and the staff and regulars are all "salt of the earth" types.

A rock bottom price of £10 on a Tuesday.

Worth a visit.

Driving past this course it looks a little tired. The club house looks small and it has the look of a muni. But get past the club house and what a wonderful surprise, The welcome is fantastic from the members, the course is in great nic, and there are some really nice holes on the back 9. The front 9 is still quite new but still has some interesting holes in there, but the back 9 makes the course.

hard course to play always a cross wind on first 9 holes a lot of holes you need to carry to greens or you just roll down hills or fall off greens as most are raised greens so hard to chip and run onto green first 9 are more exposed to the wind tight fairways to hit off the tee back 9 bit more tree lined still tight fairways I thought the greens were very slow and hairy really needed to rattle in your putts to have any chance I prefer fast greens now so not impressed with the slow hairy greens
