What the club says: Our philosophy at AGC is that we treat all of our guests as members and a truly warm ‘Enster’ welcome awaits all visiting golfers.

This was reflected in 2019 when we made the final 4 shortlisted clubs for "Best Scottish 9 hole club" at the Scottish Golf Awards which is voted for solely by the general public.

In March 2023 we were voted joint runner up by the East Fife Sports Council in the "Club Development Award" which was down to the hard work of our dedicated team who run not only the Junior section but who have also taken golf to the local schools to promote the club and the sport.

The course is located 9 miles south of St Andrews and stretches along the shoreline between Anstruther & Pittenweem.

The spectacular views over Anstruther Harbour and out to the Isle of May, Bass Rock & over towards Edinburgh can be a constant distraction.

Golfers should beware of Anstruther Golf Clubs version of Amen Corner which comprises a trio of challenging par 3’s and includes the infamous Rockies hole.

What a great fun 9 hole course

I was staying in Fife with my girlfriend, after a week of golf in east Lothian with my friends.
The pro at Gullane told me that Anstruther golf club had good reviews and I should try it while I was over there.
I rang them up while I was staying down the road in Crail and managed to get a tee time a hour later.
I play golf 2 times a week all over London/Essex/Kent so I know a good golf course.
This little course is amazing.
Some of the best views I've ever seen on a golf course and it's such great fun.
It's only 9 holes and 5 of them are par 3s so it's not a tuff test but there's not 1 easy par 3 there and the 5th is voted the hardest in the UK.I can confirm its spectacular and indeed hard.
The members were lovely and the clubhouse friendly.
If you fancy a fun quick 9 or 18 this place is 10/10.
I absolutely loved it and preferred it over Crail for the views.
I would go back in a heart beat.
Would recommend 100%

Hidden Gem

Anstruther G.C. on Fifes East Neuk coast is a "hidden gem", nine hole course. Layout of 5 par3's, 4 par4's, all very different, three of the par 3's over 200yds. including, the "Rockies", the 5th hole, voted the hardest par3 in Britain! It has great views over the Firth of Forth, a very enjoyable challenge!

The course is in great condition especially the greens. We really enjoyed the day and look forward to returning sometime. Shame that the bar man obviously got out of bed the wrong side that morning!

Small but immaculate links course. No Par 5's but the terrain and coastal position make much of this course a test - particularly the challenging fifth "rockies" par three hole

A delightful little course. The 5th is apparently the hardest Par 3 in the UK. It certainly is beautiful...but I found the 7th harder!

Nice little club house with excellent views across to the town. Holes 1 and 9 are a little sheltered with the other holes very open. I thought the rockies was a par four until after the round, in that case its a very tough par 3.

Strong winds make some of the Par 3s virtually impossible. Hole 5 - the Rockies, is regarded as the toughest Par 3 in Scotland
