What the club says: Solent Meads Golf Centre is home to an 18 hole par 3 golf course, a 9 hole 'fun course', an 11 bay driving range, a practice putting green and cafe. It Provides scenic views of Christchurch Priory, Mudeford Quay and the Isle of Wight and is a great golfing experience for golfers of all levels.

Excellent Practice Course
The 18 hole course is great for beginners who want to play a round but aren't ready for a full length course yet. Likewise, more experienced players will find this course great to practice their short game. The holes are between 60 - 200 yards in length which overs some nice variety. The fairways are relatively wide and the lack of trees/water makes this a forgiving course. The greens are also in good condition too. It's not a luxury golf club, but it's great value, making this a perfect place to practice in a real world setting.Reviewer Rating

Solent meads is great for short game there are some really nice people there ready to help your game good driving range nice friendly cafe and plenty equipment to buy there is golf pro there so you need help with your game .you can always have lesson.(Round played: Oct 2020 - Score: 64 Handicap: 31.5)

good par 3 for learning your chip shots for good players or beginners. No trees or hazards only sand bunkers and there is also a driving range round the back.

I have been playing at Solent meads for 9 months now the company is great and so frendly I love the golf course every game is different you can always ask the pro there for advise and help it's a great place to go. And you can play in mini tournaments every Tuesday Thursday this helps with your handicap(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 69 Handicap: 14.6)

Solent meads is a great little course the clubhouse is great for a nice scupper coffiee the guys and girls there are great . The other golfers are great and make you fill welcome(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 74 Handicap: 17)

Great course for beginners and anyone looking to practise their short game or just for a relaxed round that only takes 2 hours to complete. Greens are looking much better than they were last year and the course improvements are coming on nicely.

Great place to practice your short game. Great value for money, especially on the twilight rates. Ideal course for beginners and casual players. Good drainage means it's always guaranteed to be open when all the other courses are flooded.

I'm a beginner and live local to this course, I enjoy playing here as it is beginner friendly but also a great place to gain confidence. It's a nice place to play twilight golf as it's only a fiver and you can complete your round in 2 hours easily.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the driving range is best value in town at £3.50 for 70 balls.
Definitely the place to play if you're just starting out or you just fancy a relaxed game.

played here when I was a youngster and am glad to have played here again now im starting up again. Great flat course making it ideal for beginners with some tricky holes. great facilities and sensibly priced. can be hectic in windy conditions. can get busy in summer their pro is worth having a lesson with too

After reading the reviews for this course we decided to have a round whilst in the area. Sadly, was very disappointed and did in fact only play the first 10 holes on the 18 hole course.
Definitely suited to beginners - would recommend if not seasoned golfers.
If you are more experienced however, the lack of diversity (all 18 holes laid out in one flat field), no fairways as such, slow players and no need for anything bigger than a 6 iron (I'm a girl playing off nominal 36) might put you off.
Otherwise, friendly staff in the shop and cafe.
Definitely suited to beginners - would recommend if not seasoned golfers.

Great place to have a knock. When all the other courses are closed in Bournemouth Solent Meads stays open due to great drainage!
