What the club says: The course is an exciting 18 hole parkland course, with no two holes the same. The course favours accuracy rather than big hitting, especially when considering the water problems talked about above and after a Professional event in 2006 the professionals considered our 18th as being a most difficult finishing hole in the area, maybe that’s why it is called the Wrecker, and the 9th, a par three of 238 yards, falls into the same category.

Excellent
Second time here and a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Course in excellent condition with the truest greens I have putted on all year. A great variety of holes with a premium being placed on accuracy from the tee. If I had one complaint it is that the catering facilities do not appear to be available to those who start early. We finished our round at 10.45am on a Friday and, as with our last visit, found the bar area locked so that we couldn’t even use the coffee machine. Really enjoyable
Played for the first time today despite living locally and I will certainly be back. Not long by modern standards, but a really good layout in fantastic condition. Small greens, lots of water hazards and tight fairways mean accuracy is a must but good scoring is possible. Several holes cross over one another so I would imagine when it’s busy that could be a little problematic but otherwise thoroughly enjoyable.Reviewer Rating

Not happy
Played here recently as a paying player. I used to be a corporate member but didn't renew due to playing restrictions from the club. After a pleasant round I went to the bar with my bar card to pay foe a round of drink, only to be told my card had been cancelled and the ?30+ on it had been wiped from the memory as I was no longer a member. A very undulating course with some long fairways, it needs concentration as fairways do cross each other and they have done well to fit a full 18 into a small space with some good length holes as well as some challenging par 3's, all in a very nice course with some stunning views across the course, the 10th tee is particularly pretty with a big down hill tee shot(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 110 Handicap: 30)

A few cross over points makes it a bit frustrating and 7 par 3s is a couple too many though the room dictates, can get boggy during the winter but hats off to the green keepers for as job well done would say have a go once before judging

Lovely course although you do have to have your wits about you on a couple of the tees/greens where holes cross over. Greens were in really good condition.

Good course that is narrow and not very forgiving of wayward shots. Course is also very compact so you need to be aware of holes that cross each other and be alert.
We payed up front and booked a tee time via website however the club don't reserve the tee. When you get there you just have to take pot luck as to how many are there before you. Not ideal but it wasn't a major issue for us.

Beautiful course, undulating and great viaduct. Made really welcome by the Pro . Met a couple of the members, very friendly and helpful. Would recommend Rugby GC!
