Fantastic course, not a bad hole on it, and in great condition. The views of the course and surrounding areas are stunning. I've played most of Scotland's top courses and this is the best in my opinion.

Be warned however, it is a difficult course, especially when the wind blows, some of the rough is evil and there's plenty of gorse about to eat up those bad shots. If you're new to the game or a bit wayward, you could easily rack up a massive score and empty your bag of balls.

Although it shouldn't put you off from visiting, the clubhouse isn't great to be honest. It's not comparable with other top venues and although it's reasonably priced and the food is of a good standard, It's too small with too many tables squeezed in to the bar/restaurant. The service is friendly but it can be a little chaotic. When I was there the poor waitresses were running around all over the place and two of them fell over chairs, almost on to their faces. Also on one occasion they completely forgot about our starters and served mains only. There is also no outside seating area.

One other thing if your planning a visit to this area. There are so many good courses in this area, don't waste any time or money playing The Struie course, unless you've already exhausted Brora, Golspie,Tain, the 2 Nairn courses, Moray, Forres and probably a few more.

The Struie is very dissapointing, it probably has 3 or 4 good holes but a lot of them are up and down a flat field with very little definition. The greens aren't as good as The Championship course either.

You must play The Championship course though.

at least as good as any other top class links course I've played including turnberry and troon. Only down side is a lack of a driving range for non members. Staff really friendly and helpful. Beautiful challenging course and if the wind gets up it gets radically harder

Unreal course. Playing is a total bucket list opportunity. Its both challenging and fun. Course is in great shape, bunkers are a challenge and greens were everything but flat. Tough to describe how awesome it is, unless you have been there.

A real treat to have played on this course. I would rate it in my top 3 of all time. So many memorable holes with interestingly shaped greens. Played in glorious sunshine with little wind, which was probably very fortunate as the weather on such an exposed site could probably play havoc. Expensive treat but I would play again in a heart beat.

Course in beautiful condition set up for all players to enjoy. As some holes are very long par 4’s these are a real challenge for the average golfer. Great fun to play this iconic course in perfect conditions.

The par 3's are some of the best I've ever played. The design of the course offers a great challenge, while also being enjoyable to play. The natural links style of the course add to the beauty of the course. Overall, the quality of this course is outstanding with amazing scenery.
