First time playing Roundhay for probably 5 years ago. For £16 on a Sunday morning pretty reasonable value. It is what it is, no thrills. Large open fairways, reasonably short holes. Greens in good confition. Will visit again.

Course requires accuracy. Distances not a problem if you can drive over 200 yards. Well maintained for a municipal course and drains well - so playable when many others are closed. No buggies available. Good scenary as inside Roundhay Park. Can take 2 hours to do 9 holes as it's only a 9 hole course. Friendly club house.

Met a great guy and a superb golfer called Micky Hughes. His handicap is 5 and I played a few holes with him, it was a treat. He smoothes it away and is such fun.
The course was good.

Tee off matts in winter. Winter greens are poor. Good value for money in summer. In winter not so much

Probably not challenging enough for the low Handicappers. But for new players who only have a few rounds under their belt it's ideal course to push your game that bit further.
