What the club says: Moortown has always held a richly deserved reputation as one of the country's finest Championship Golf courses. Originally designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie, Moortown is set in 125 acres of dramatically contrasting mainly level woodland and moorland.
From the opening par 5 there are many fine holes to enjoy including the new 6th, rated the most difficult, and the famous Gibraltar par 3 10th with its sloping plateau green, the Club's signature hole.

Let Down!
Played in an open at Moortown and was so disappointed at the condition of the course, Greens so slow and don't run true at all, Fairway have bare patches all over them, not worth the £60

A Historic Gem
Well worth a visit. The club is steeped in History. Great course and challenging back 9. The facilites are excellent and the staff welcoming. Highly Recommended.

Simply awesome

First Ryder cup venue
A really stunning course, set in a very quiet place considering it?s almost bordered by houses. We played on a dry and mildly breezy day. The conditions were perfect underfoot. Standing on the elevated first tee, you get a sense of ?we?re happy that you chose to visit us ? kind of feeling. Not one boring hole amongst the eighteen. Greens all brilliant. It would be great to try Moortown in the summer.

Cracking course
Really enjoyable experience, course in good condition and gives a fair challenge for all levels of ability.

Top class course
First time playing Moortown, heard good things prior an was not disappointed. Good setup all round. Heathland course with a few tricky holes. Greens had just been slit and hollowtined so were a bit hard to read and slow, would love to play again to see true greens. Fairly easy walk around mainly on the flat.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 80 Handicap: 5.3)

Amazing experience
Incredible course! Bunkers everywhere, tiered greens and deep rough. A Mackenzie classic. Free balls to hit off the turf range. We were pay and play visitors (?45 each) . We had a rather frosty reception in the pro shop however we were made to feel very welcome in the spike bar afterwards.Loved it
