Avoid at all costs. Booked to play as a 4 ball visitors over Xmas and was charged full price for a course that was virtually unplayable. Cant be good for the members to see the course open in the pouring rain and all the GUR areas just getting worse. Visiting the bar afterwards was the only highlight. To show how much they care, I wrote a very constructive and polite email to the club a few days after - didn't even bother to acknowledge or reply which just about sums it up

OMG How much!!!!

Played yesterday (2/6/20) & was charged £39 per round. It is not a £39 course. £20 max. So many better courses at cheaper prices. Avoid.

Be aware

Got stuck behind 2 fourballs from the 3rd. Still behind them on the 18th. Sometimes there were four groups on one hole. We was a 2 ball. Three ball behind us and kept up.

Not bad if you like to play at snails pace, like inconsistent lumpy greens and your courses scruffy!
Apart from that its ok. 4 1/2 hours for a short course - NO WAY!

We played this course because the website said it wasn't hilly but unfortunately it was hilly and the fairways were not in very good condition - it felt like we were playing on a football pitch.
On the plus side the greens were immaculate and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Lovely course terrible staff

Lovely course terrible staff
33 of us paid for a society day
Buggies were hired meals were paid for money was spent in both bar and the pro shop
Kitchen staff snapped at our organiser because somebody ate an extra bacon roll!!
Afterplay we had booked and paid for a meal
Service was slow
Food was cold
One of our members sent food back a number of times and the staff were extraordinarily rude
We will certainly never return I would recommend others not to attend
We tried to speak to a manager about staff attitude and were told point blank they did not and would not want to deal with it

There are a few nice holes but the course was fairly scruffy particularly the greens.

A cheap round, you possibly get what you pay for. There are a lot better courses close by.

Avoid Saturdays twilights due to wedding music from club house unless you wish to party on 9th and 18th green. Goose dropping everywhere on 14th and 15th green. Brown patches of dead grass on most greens. Pitchmarks on most greens, terrible. What kinds of people play there, one wonders. The grumby chap at the pro shop needed to lighten up and be friendly. Perhaps he was trying to be snobbish and keeping the course to members only. Positive note though, the course layout was, quite good. Lots of bunkers making it fairly challenging. Shame. Anyway, I would not play there again if it's not improved. There are far too many better courses out there.

Just turning

Every course is going in to Winter and is on the turn as they say, and Reigate is just going that way. Long wet rough and a million leaves, it makes for a frustrating round if not accurate. That said the green were in exceptional condition for this time of year and must be commended.

Very dry, green not holding

Very dry out there so if you hit your tee shots well it would run and run but also easily enough to run left or right. Green only held long high approaches and if anything flat then off it went. Greens themselves, plenty of grass and a bit slow.

Reigate Hill - The clue is in the course name

Entered in the Reigate Hill Seniors Invitational and never having played the course was looking forward to my visit. Reigate Hill doesn't disappoint, there are some really tough holes that require good placement of shots, but also holes that offer you a chance to attack. Course was in fairly good condition, tee-boxes needed a little work, fairways were cut well, the rough was quite thick in places and the greens were quick, very quick, with some really subtle breaks. There are some steep inclines to be walked, but the clue is in the name. It was quite tiring, but that said. I enjoyed the round. Food was good after the round, with a good selection on offer. Worth a visit if your in the area.

Plenty of variety as far as holes are concerned, fairways good and greens true and of a good pace with subtle borrows. Pretty hilly with some great views and downhill tee shots; if you struggle with walking, a buggy would be a good idea. Mid week, never seems too busy and you can usually get round in good time. All in all, well worth a visit

Solid, well-run course

Reigate Hill provides a good test for most golfers, who are often faced with significant cross winds through the mid-stage holes that straddle the top of the hill.

Lovely layout and good condition...except

The greens had been hollowed and a lot of sand on all grees. Made putting a lottery and slow. IT was like playing summer golf with winter greens!! One of my partners enjoyed the greens whilst me and the other found it very tricky. Playing off the whites we discovered some hidden tees!! Made the course much more challenging. Considering it rained all Saturday course was well drained. Shame it didn't wash away the snad on the greens!!
