Played here on Saturday as a guest and the weather was terrible. The course however was near faultless. The greens managed to drain most of the water (only starting to gather puddles by the time we got to the 17th, pretty good for almost constant rain) and it was clear the a great deal of effort has been put into increasing the quality of this place. Beautiful scenery with greens that run true, what more could you ask for?

A splendid narrow tree lined course. Not long by today's standards but you have to think your way around to avoid trouble.

I've had the pleasure of playing as a visitor at Reading several times a year for quite a while now. The course currently is probably in the best condition I've seen, the greens are stunning. Always enjoy the mix of holes/layout, particularly from hole 5 onwards. A good all round test of your game, only suggestion would be more sand in some bunkers.
