What the club says: Ravenmeadow incorporates lots of different tests and challenges into the 9 holes and is great for social golf. The Barbourne Brook meanders through the course providing challenging water hazards on 5 of the 10 holes. We have 2 tier greens to test your short game and putting and dogleg holes to test your driving accuracy and course management.

The flat course provides a easy walking 9 or 18 holes while the green belt setting in view of the Malvern Hills is an oasis just outside the city centre. The USGA Specification Greens allow us to play our greens all year round and they are always in excellent condition. We also use our grass tees throughout the winter making this a great venue in Worcester for golf all year round.

The fairways were extremely dry, the rough was sparse so it was easy to find wayward balls in most cases, and the greens were in very good condition

Nice Course

Nice course with some challenging holes, greens a little long so can be hard to read but worth the money, if your older but reasonably fit then it's walkable, buggies are available.

18 Oases in the West Midlands

One of our Gloucester-based nomadic golf group came across this course and so we tried it out yesterday. We were met be very friendly staff in the busy cafe and pro shop, providing a relaxed atmosphere. We had a brill bacon baguette before setting off on the 18 holes. The course was understandably very dry, the fairways were parched, hard and grey and the ball ran and ran; and on every hole, in the distance, was a deep green oasis where the dance floor was carpeted with lush green well-cut smooth grass surfaces. A huge pleasure to play here and we will definitely be back. As an added challenge - we found ourselves on an orienteering exercise to find the next tee, popping in and out of various gaps in the hedgerows; one or two signs would have helped!

Nice little gem not long so accuracy off the tee is imperative as its got a few trees lining the fairways. The tee boxes was not in good condition due to lack of water but the greens was in excellent condition a pleasure to putt on will be going back again soon.

Nearest course to me comprising wat used to be a 10 hole course and part of what was a municipal 18 hole course. As such it has public walk paths throughout so watch out for walkers...and dogs on the loose (although dogs are supposed to be on leash they seldom are). Had my ball taken by a dog at least 3 times on the par 5 17th where walkers path is alongside the green. That said, the course is generally kept in good condition although it can be very muddy in winter between holes. For me, the par 5 6th and 17th holes are the most fun at around 500yds. There are at least 4 driveable par 4s for the longer hitters and a short par 4 to finish that's an easy birdie.
Club house staff are always friendly with a good refurbished restaurant and bar area. There's also a very good 'Top Tracer' driving range

Inexpensive

I am not a club member and paid ?17 (senior)for a weekday round. Holes 6,7 and18 are a little hilly but nothing strenuous. The rest is flat.
I don't hit the ball very far and sill managed to eagle the last hole from the elevated tee. Beware of dog walkers especially near the 17th green where the path goes close. I've had my ball stolen by dogs twice. Owners don't obey the rules to keep dogs on a lead! Otherwise a nice course for mid to high handicap players. Low handicaps would find this straightforward I think. The downside apart from the dogs is that it gets very muddy during the winter. and slow play is a problem if you are on your own.

Much improved

Course is looking in its best shape ever. Greens in good condition, and bunkers have had a lot of work done to make them attractive and playable.

Clubhouse has had a refurbishment and is looking great, with a welcoming bar/cafe setup.

New Toptracer facilities installed on the driving range make this an attractive and affordable golf venue in Worcestershire.

Don't go in winter

Played there many times, it's a passable golf course in the summer, however I'm not sure it should be charging anyone in the winter. Quite simply it has no drainage, so I've spent a good few hours rolling around in the mud. The last month has honestly been the worse conditions I've ever experienced on a golf course. It would benefit from some basic paving between holes, as it quickly gets tiresome wading through mud. Well that is until you reach the salvation of the green, of which 6 out of front 9 were helpfully half covered in water so I could clean up pretty nicely. Finally the 7th fairway was split by a humongous river, so I got the pleasure of traversing all the way back around the outside to find teeshot. It's safe to say they need some basic drainage installed and really should know when to close the course. The damage that is currently being done, as well as actively fleecing customers when it doesn't even remotely resemble a golf course it just plain wrong.

Nice course but slow greens

Enjoyed the game but the greens are rather slow, probably as it's early in the season and they need some additional work to get them to speed up, overall it played well and has a few challenging holes, unfortunately you always get the group that don't seem to know golf etiquette and spoil the game taking too long looking for lost balls and not letting you play through, last game hear took us over 5 hours due to an inconsiderate 4 ball. The off course facilities are good such as putting green, driving range and of course the always popular 19th hole where you can drown you sorrows or celebrate your victory.

Reasonable

It's the cheapest around Worcester and it's usually busy. I'm new to golf, playing off 27 and it's testing enough for me. Staff are friendly and helpful. The course is well kept and, yes, it's not the most testing ( if you can hit it straight!!)
It could do with more signage and ball cleaning stations but that doesn't bother me, I'm a member playing twice a week and it's affordable.

You can book w 2 weeks in advance after 7am which is great. Howeveer evry si=Sunday there is a block booking of 4 or 5 tee times from 0800 at 0650 am before the normal member can book, did nit know tther was a gild star membership that allows block booking! ..Maybe they pay more than us normal members, or just mates of the club! as it seems to be the same people all the time either ahead of us or behind us . This is extremely unfaer and will make me thiink about renewing membership

Ravenmeadow is a forgiving golf course with wide fairways and low cut rough. It is a nice course made up of two different nine-hole courses being brought together. The front nine is more picturesque but on the whole, a pleasant course.
