Don't go in winter
Played there many times, it's a passable golf course in the summer, however I'm not sure it should be charging anyone in the winter. Quite simply it has no drainage, so I've spent a good few hours rolling around in the mud. The last month has honestly been the worse conditions I've ever experienced on a golf course. It would benefit from some basic paving between holes, as it quickly gets tiresome wading through mud. Well that is until you reach the salvation of the green, of which 6 out of front 9 were helpfully half covered in water so I could clean up pretty nicely. Finally the 7th fairway was split by a humongous river, so I got the pleasure of traversing all the way back around the outside to find teeshot. It's safe to say they need some basic drainage installed and really should know when to close the course. The damage that is currently being done, as well as actively fleecing customers when it doesn't even remotely resemble a golf course it just plain wrong.Reviewer Rating

A not too difficult test
Not a bad course and not too testing. A decent course and suitable for high handicappers. Course is now under new ownership so expect some improvements.(Round played: Nov 2017 - Score: 91 Handicap: 17.2)

Council Estate of courses
Very well kept course ,the front 9 is a bit more challenging than the back, great value for money ,my only gripe are the players that frequent the course! No manners or etiquette at all ,you can be on the fairway approaching the pin and a ball will be by your heels !gripe are the players that frequent the course! No manners or etiquette at all ,you can be on the fairway approaching the pin and a ball will be by your heels !!! The bell on the blind greens are pointless nobody uses them ,wearing g a helmet on these holes might be an advantage ....Good luck all shame really because it is a lovely course.Reviewer Rating

Raven
Course in good condition. Bunkers are rubbish,,no a=sand and seem to be kgetting rid of them, Also as a memeber there is a an issue with bookinh tee time in a sunday. You can book w 2 weeks in advance after 7am which is great. Howeveer evry si=Sunday there is a block booking of 4 or 5 tee times from 0800 at 0650 am before the normal member can book, did nit know tther was a gild star membership that allows block booking! ..Maybe they pay more than us normal members, or just mates of the club! as it seems to be the same people all the time either ahead of us or behind us . This is extremely unfaer and will make me thiink about renewing membership(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 82 Handicap: 12.3)
