Tough but enjoyable

First time playing Preston and it was certainly worth it. Its a challenge for any standard of player and requires you to plan each shot as there are many hazards that draw you in leading to tricky second or third shots. Definitely intend returning.

Brilliant

Great condition as always even with all of the recent rain that we have had. Top dressed greens which is good to see at this time of year

One of Lancashire?s best parkland Courses

As this is my home course i'm a little bias ! Preston is both an England golf and Lancashire championship venue. it is an undulating James Braid designed layout over 125 yrs old that has some of the best greens in Lancashire.
Despite being only 6278yds off the whites our recent slope rating of 143 proves it's a challenge. Only 10 min off the M6 it's definitely worth the visit

Played this course on 2/9/2018, we where told we could tee off before our allocated time as there wasn't many people out so there was no pressure on our fourball. The course was excellent superb greens nightmare trying to get a read of the break. Will definitely be returning to play this course again next year with our society

Great course well worth playing

First time playing this well run course. Great clubhouse, well stocked pro shop, extensive practice facilities. Friendly welcome by all. Good food. Course in good nick despite recent wet weather, quite soft in areas. Greens good if a bit slow but would expect to quicken up considerably during summer months. Some tricky holes/long par 4s. Enjoyed playing the course will return for sure in the summer months.

Very good!,very good indeed.Hats off to this club for producing a course in such good condition despite the extremely wet last few months.Only my second time out here but thoroughly enjoyed the test both off the tee & at the greens.I believe that the finishing holes are hard to beat anywhere!
Well worth a visit if you are visiting the area.
