Brilliant day

Brilliant day spent at the Plassey Golf Club on a golf society day, Bacon Roll and Coffees on arrival, soup and freshly cut sandwiches at lunch, then steak pie chips peas and gravy for dinner followed by Sarah’s homemade Eton Mess. 18 holes on the stunning Par 66 course, a truly fantastic day. The Haybank (club bar & Restaurant) really couldn’t have done more for us, Manager Ivo, Ryan, and Ella were brilliant ???? a massive thank you to you all, you’re all a credit to the Plassey.
Looking for a fabulous days golf with great food and service then get yourself to the Plassey it’s amazing 10/10

Far too pretentious for a glorified pitch and putt

Can't book over the phone or at the club, only online. Receptionist was rude when we arrived and insisted there was a "strict dress code"... Wouldn't mind so much if it was a prestigious course but it's a pokey little 9 hole course that is not in great condition and has no par 5s. Better courses are within just a short drive away

Very short course and very easy in places. Too short for me and for £15 for 9 holes it seems a bit steep

Do not visit

I booked online to play golf and arrived 20 minutes before my tee time. I went to the clubhouse and checked in as I usually would. I was informed by the bar/golf staff member that I was not able to play as I was in "Jean shorts". I stated that I had played this course and numerous others in the area in the shorts I was in which are tailored shorts. The staff member was insistent and I asked to speak to the manager. The manager arrived and confirmed this which was a huge suprise to me. There was no offerings to make one exception and no acknowledgment that I had previously played this exact course and many others in the same shorts.

I was and am completely amazed by the verdict and will not be coming back having played at this course countless times in the last 20 years. I travelled a short distance to Clays golf club who immediately let me and my brother on in the exact same shorts. It was great and the course is much more fulfilling.

I am sad to see this next step in the golf courses downfall, it has gone from a thriving course with a really family oriented feel, good banter and dedicated golf staff including a golf pro. To a golf course that is not well maintained and seems like it is forgotten.

A beautiful course in superb condition - credit to the Greenskeepers. Plenty to challenge players of all abilities - and to cap it all, small but well presented Clubhouse with great food and service. Well done to all and vast improvement since I last played there 4 years ago.
