Enjoyable visit

Course in decent condition and playing well. Tall pine trees looking stunning as ever. Greens running a bit slow but otherwise generally good and just needed a cut, though we played late afternoon and presumably they're cut early morning. 4.5 hours to get round not ideal but just about ok on a sunny afternoon. Will return

Great, enjoy the course. Very slow play. However it was a lovely day so enjoyed the walk regardless. Nice driving range. However minimum amount of balls is 100 and for a warmup for around that is very excessive always enjoy pine ridge.

Good enough

Could be quite slow playing, but lovely course in the summer. Par 5 can be a bit short, but good for your score if you get off the tee well.

Always interesting. Greens a bit sandy from course maintenance but very good overall.

Dreadful fairways

Dreadful fairways. The course management will say the heatwave has destroyed them this year and fair enough, it can't have helped, but other courses nearby are SO much better.

Also another club, sigh.... which use 8 minute tee times, and never police pace of play or people NOT letting faster people through, meaning 4-5 hour rounds are common here. We had four groups on the 9th hole by the time we got there.

A greedy golf club. Which is lovely in May during the week and awful in October at the weekend.

Great muni

Pine Ridge is one of the best municipal courses in Surrey. The greens are usually in good condition and very true.
Some interesting and challenging holes.
Sadly the pro shop has gone and the clubhouse is now more of a sports bar. Today, in one half of the bar they had 8 TV screens all showing the football.

Absolutely love this course but it does need a little TLC. I understand the summer was hard but the course certainly isn't what it was. Greens were fine it's just elsewhere attention is needed. Still a great place to play golf.

Worth a visit

I read that the course is rated in the top 100. I wouldn't go that far but it was still good. Tees nice and flat, fairways understandably suffered from drought, not too tight and balls can often be found in amongst the pine trees when fairways missed. Greens in v good condition

Nicest course around for non-members

Always enjoy playing here. Can get busy at weekends but really enjoyable on a weekday afternoon. Greens are in great condition but the fairways seem to have suffered after the hot/dry summer. Hopefully they will come back in the coming months. Bunkers also need to be improved but, all in all, a really good option for the casual golfer.
