Mr
Do not bother. Great natural layout but course has gone massively downhill while prices have been hiked. Felt like whoever owns it is running it into the ground with no investment. Bunkers with mushrooms in them, no sand, hitting off soil if in them, plus wildlife damage. Fairways hardly defined. Greens average. £54 on a Sunday! Absolute joke - find somewhere else where they care about customer experience and value returning golfers. Disgrace to what was once a very nice course.Reviewer Rating

Very slow play
Fairways have patchy grass. Greens long grass and slow. Pace of play terrible. Three groups on one tee. Marshal did nothing.Reviewer Rating

Dreadful fairways
Dreadful fairways. The course management will say the heatwave has destroyed them this year and fair enough, it can't have helped, but other courses nearby are SO much better. Also another club, sigh.... which use 8 minute tee times, and never police pace of play or people NOT letting faster people through, meaning 4-5 hour rounds are common here. We had four groups on the 9th hole by the time we got there.
A greedy golf club. Which is lovely in May during the week and awful in October at the weekend.

Don’t bother.
Course overbooked sadly. Queued 12 on a tee, taking 20 minutes a hole and facing the prospect of. 5 1/2 hour round - had to walk off after 9 and they refused to refund us our remaining 9 holes.Poor customer service, poor course management and poor upkeep around fairways and bunkering.
After playing here many times and bringing a Society it’s a shame but we won’t be coming back here again.
Course management would do well to look after golfers better instead of just stacking the tee and raking in the cash. V short term view.

Bunkers hadn’t been raked in weeks - Tees in poor condition . Only 1 Green Keeper on duty who decided to roll every Green Just as you played the hole holding up play .
Nice course that has deteriorated.
NOT worth £40 .
Won’t be back !

Shameful
I’m a Crown Golf member and have tried and failed 4 separate times to use my open play member benefits to book a tee time. I’m told each time all Crown tee times booked for that day. What’s worse is the attitude, rude and condescending. Stop selling the benefits of open play if it’s simply a con. The endReviewer Rating

What Has Happened to Pine Ridge?!
I have played at Pine Ridge many times over the past 10 years and really loved it. It used to be (and maybe still is) the flagship course of Crown Golf and is really beautiful setting. I played on March 26th and was so let down by the state of the course. What on earth have Crown done to it? It is looking in need of a LOT of attention. The tee box surrounds are falling apart, the fairways are threadbare at best after last years drought and the bunkers haven't been raked in ages which is something they used to do every day. Yesterday they were sanding the greens after hollow tining which I know is a necessary part of course maintenance but 6 of the greens were covered in 1cm of sand and not brushed in with no temporary greens while this was done so putting would have been easier in a bunker! Unfortunately I can't upload photos here to show just how bad it was. There was no warning to visitors that this work was being carried out so basically a third of the golf course was unplayable.Come on Crown, you have let a fantastic golf course go to waste here. Details matter, especially with the competition in the local area, of which there is now far better value for money.

Bank Holiday Game
We decided we’d like a last minute game on bank holiday Monday. I felt the green fee was on the high side, and the offer of 10% off when booked online was not known or understood by anyone that worked here. Anyway we paid the £40The teeing off areas needed cutting, big divots that hadn’t been repaired and broken tees everywhere, whilst I accept that golfers should be looking after these areas, nothing had been tended to for some time. The fairways were ok, with the weather we’ve had you can’t expect green lush fairways. The greens.... wow! Just awful, sandy, bumpy, incredibly slow, long, patchy... possibly the worse greens I’ve played in years. I understand they’ve been hollowtined recently, in fact you could see that from the huge piles of hollowtine that had come out of the greens and dumped all round the course! Just unbelievable.
No wonder the course was empty, such a shame, used to be a great course. New owners? Housing estate? Last time I play there, and the last time the golf society I’m in plays there.

Atrocious Conditions
The worst course played on this year by far.....Course in a real state, more sand on the greens for maintenance than in the bunkers. bunkers mostly mud and hardly any grass on the fairways!(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 91 Handicap: )
