A good course, a few long holes a few very short holes (around 310 yards), greens could have been better as in cut. all in all a good track with some interesting holes.

Really enjoyed the course. Would have done better if the rain held off. Greens are really quick and pins in some tricky positions. Will play again in better weather.

In played Pike Hills Yesterday (1.8.2012) in the Bader cup regional finals. The course is in good condition and the greens are a realn challenge. The staff in the club house and proshop are friendly and the food was good. The course however is alive with mosquito.On one particular hole, a par three on the front nine, it resembles a rain forest and thousands of mossies could be seen. Today I have over 50 bites on my arms and legs. Warnings in the pro shop and the sale of a good repellant is needed at this course. BE WARNED!!

Used Greenfree 2 for 1 vouchers £13 each player, good value, no booking tee off times.
Course mature parkland type, over 100 years old, quite flat easy to walk round.
Greens in good order for time of year and course although wet after considerable rain played well with good drainage.
Friendly clubhouse with good value catering.

Used Greenfree 2 for 1 vouchers , no booking times required, £13 each per round representing good value for money.
Mature parkland type course over 100 years old. Greens very good for time of year and course although wet after considerable rain, played well and is well drained.
Course quite flat, only one hole of any significance uphill, OK for you Angina sufferers.
Clubhouse friendly and catering good value.

Friendly Golf Club

Pike Hills has quite tight fairways. I feel the back nine are more interesting than the front nine. The front nine are closely associated with Askham bog, so be aware that there are quite a few mosquitoes around in summer, particularly on holes 6 and 7. The driving range and putting green are very user friendly. The balls on the range vary in quality, but at ?1.00 for thirty with a card, very good value.

Handy for the outlets. Course was well warn from the sun but the greens were in good condition. Nice clubhouse too.
