I recently played a round of golf at this course and I was very impressed. The layout was great, and the course was well kept. It was a challenging course, steeped in history and the presentation was great. The greens were in excellent condition, and the hospitality was great. The quality of the course was outstanding throughout; great fairways, bunkers and greens. Everything was immaculately kept and the staff were extremely friendly.

Pleasure to play
Fulford is only an hours drive from where I live and a course I?d always wanted to play but never had until now. I got the chance to play in a 2020 Tour ProAm and I'm so glad I did.Bare in mind that it is February and we?d just come off a couple of days heavy rain and storms.
The course was in great condition, we played full tee?s and greens and not off winter matts. The fairways were a joy to play from. Tthe greens were immaculate, very true and for the time of year, at a great speed.
The course was extremely well looked after, I can only imagine how good it will be in spring and summer. I am told that the rough gets quite long and thick though so it may be a blessing I played it now.
Be warned, we played from the whites and always seemed to be into a headwind. I'm not the shortest off the tee but I felt like I had a lot of long second shots, 180?s to 210?s. So it does seem to play quite long.
But it's well worth a visit.
The clubhouse was having some renovation so I couldn't sample any food after my round as the only bar open was the 19th. But still very good surroundings, nice practice facilities and the people working throughout the complex were friendly and great to deal with.
If you want to play a Yorkshire course that's pretty flat, steeped in tour history, great to look at and a pretty good test without being unfair, Fulford is the one.

Top class course
First time playing Fulford, very impressed. Great setup, friendly welcome in clubhouse, pro shop, great breakfast. Good practice facilities. Course in great shape, quite tight in places. Greens true. Easy walk around.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 82 Handicap: 6)

Thoroughly enjoyable
This was my second visit to Ganton in the space of a month. Now knowing the course I played much better and again, thoroughly enjoyed the visit. This is without doubt the best course in Yorkshire, a must on everyones list of courses to play.Reviewer Rating

A classic. It should not be missed!
Fulford is one of those bucket list courses every golfer should play. It does not disappoint! The course was in magnificent condition when I played last week. It is a true test of golf; a parkland / heathland mix which is terrific to play and keeps the interest throughout the round. Lovely people too!Reviewer Rating

Cloudy but still day so perfect for golf. Course isn't massively long but requires careful though about what club to hit where on many holes where position was key to good scores. Greens were in great condition and a pleasure to putt on. Proper heathland course in places.

The course is one of the country's finest, the condition is excellent, the greens are the best I've seen then in years and they're always good. A good and fair test of golf you'll not be sorry to play this course.

This course is one of the finest I have played - a fantastic layout in as good a condition as you could wish for.
However, our round took nearly 6 HOURS!!! We were stuck behind several groups of Ladies' 4-balls. Now, this is not the club's fault, of course, but they could have done something about it. Firstly, when we booked they could have advised us of the event they had on that particular day, and we would have gladly changed to another day or tee time. Also, we arrived very early, and could easily have been offered the chance of going out before the slow groups. That is extremely poor by the starter! Unfortunatley it not only ruined our round, but also our evening plans.
Also, we got a deal that included soup & sandwiches as well as the golf. Firstly, the clubhouse did not believe that our lunch was pre-paid. When that was finally sorted out we were presented with a very sorry looking plate of sandwiches.....and no, we did not get a choice of what sandwiches we wanted, so most went in the bin.
The course deserves better than what we experienced!

A classic layout and a strong test. No surprise it has hosted many Tour events. Lots of trees ! Greens slightly disappointing - true but slow. Excellent facilities and clubhouse.

A superb days golfing, the course was in excellent condition, the greens true, albeit not that quick. A real test, but fair as long as you are straight off the tee. Some excellent par 3's and a superb closing stretch

This course is fantastic, id recommend to anyone as a must play course.
Greens were true and quick and course was excellently looked after.
