The course is short but tricksy - some criss crossing holes where you have to look around for shots from all directions. 2 things really 'bugged me on the day.
1) The club had asked players not to take practice swings on the tee. Now I don't know about you but I have very rarely seen a golfer who doesn't include a practice swing as part of his preshot routine. I saw 3 groups tee off the first tee and at least 1 in each group duffed his tee shot. Bear in mind this was a scratch tournament with players on handicaps down to +3. I really don't think it is acceptable to ask players to change their pre shot routine. Needless to say after the first hole no-one took any notice of that.
2)Bugs! The course has a bog in the middle of it - literally - it is a bog of special scientific interest. This means the bugs are twice the size and twice as ferocious as normal bugs. No matter the time or day you are playing or the weather conditions spray yourself liberally with mossie spray. I couldn't believe the Pro shop didn't stock it - he would have done a roaring trade!
The food is fantastic, great value for money and served with a smile - huge portions too.
Drinks another matter - found bar staff slow and grumpy - not ideal when you need fast service between rounds.
