Cracking course. Played yesterday and given the dry july we had the tees, fairways and greens were lush and fantastic

Very well maintaned course, particularly the greens, well established club and pro shop with good selection of golf accessories and clothing for men. Not mch for ladies, though!

Spoilt by staggeringly unfriendly lady members. Book a tee time through golf now, take your money and told on the day the course was ‘closed’ due to competitions. Eventually offered a tee off on the tenth hole. Complained but got nowhere. Was told we had ‘only’ paid £20 each so what do you expect!!!! Look through the reviews, unfriendly members get mentioned a lot. Take your money elsewhere you won’t be appreciated.

Lovely heathland course close to Wolverhampton. It is open to walkers although it seems to be one main path that is used. Played late so the cost of the game was very good.

Nice course, members not very welcoming
I have played here a few times and the course is in good condition and well maintained. Staff in the club are friendly, however this does not extend to some of the members who seem to resent visitors. At the end of our game one of the Penn members apologised on behalf of one of his group who was very rude to us. Nice course but other clubs in the area are more welcoming!Reviewer Rating

May Golf
Our May 4 ball was a toss up between here and South Staffs, we went for Penn as we had not played it in a long while. Sunny and Warm the golf was good and the course was average but for the price what is to be expected, a couple of nice holes but on the whole a bit of a boring track.Reviewer Rating

Boring

A really good course and well worth a visit. Staying out of the heather is the key to a good round. The chances of finding your balll if you hit into the heather are very slim. The course was in excellent condition. Club shop was extremely helpful as we had never played here before. Gave good information and tips.

the course is great condition the greens role very true no bobbles what so ever. The fairways are amazing always get a nice lie. the rough is very thick.

A fairly decent course, however there were 10 of us and using Five 2 Fore 1 Vouchers it still cost £20 per head. And £20 for a buggy so not a cheap day out. My overall opinion is in summer it would be a lovely course. Still not worth £40 green fee personally. may visit again in summer using vouchers.

Very friendly and great course - have seen this many times but never played and always thought it looked fairly straightforward - not a bit of it; some rela sublte nuances to this heathland track.
A pity there is little in the way of practice areas.
Weather had been really wet beforehand but course still played well; the greens were really true.
A bit pricey to go as a casual visitor, i was fortunate to be signed in by a member so only £15.
I am seroiusly considering joining this club.

Nice Course, Entitled members
Course lovely nice challenge. Staff wonderful and friendly but the for the second time in three visits I have to deal with very unkind and entitled members, this is what puts people off with golf, snobbish members, such a shame as the staff were so lovely and the course is a nice challenge.Reviewer Rating

Played in Winter ( January ) , course in excellent condition , greens all in use and very well maintained. Played off mats ( provided by club ) to save fairways which didn't spoil the round. Not an excessive green fee, we will be back.

Nice course apart from dog walker with dog and no lead on the tee I think they should be encouraged to use the footpaths rather than the golf course.

Quality course
First time playing here and really enjoyed it , the greens were in excellent condition even with all the rain we have had they were fast and true .Fairways weren't to bad , a little muddy here and there but nothing major .
A good testing course that I will definitely play again
