Deceptively tricky, requiring good course management

Mr
I haven’t played this course for several years and was very impressed in how the quality of the course as improved. The course is challenging but that adds to the enjoyment. The greens are in very good condition and fairways are Wide, but Can be challenging if you sway in to the semi rough. The course is enhanced by the views of Worcestershire and shropshire. The golf range gives you every opportunity to practice and the membership offers all levels to take advantage of this sport with discounts and vouchers. Since the new owners have taken this on, they have worked tirelessly to make golf inclusive and management / staff / members are so welcoming and supportive. Mark he PGA Professional provides excellent coaching and is extremely encouraging and supportive. He will no doubt increase your skills, whatever your standard / ability. The hospitality is great, providing good food and the best coffee around. If you are looking to join a friendly welcoming club or just looking to enjoy a game of golf Sedgley You will not be disappointed.

Mr ANTHONY HALL
The Mark Butler Golf Academy is one the finest, and the best golf courses I have played at, and also the best golf clubs I have joined as a member. From tee too green and Lush fairways and beautiful greens. With amazing views everywhere you look on the golf course from the 1st to the 9th tee. The amazing staff here at the Mark Butler Golf Academy will help anyone with anything that is required, and also amazing members to play a round with. This is the best golf club in the county for a complete bigeneer to a high level amateur golfer with difficult holes. Come to this amazing Golf Club you won’t regret it.

Great conditon
Course has been turned around the past couple years, Thoroughly enjoyed my round for the price can’t knock it! Greens are in good conditon and quite fast for this time of year! Definitely will be returning in the summer. Well done guys!

Mr M Kenyon
This club has come on leaps and bounds over the past 18 months. A noticeable investment has been made to the club on new machines and maintenance equipment. An idillic and picturesque location in the middle of sedgley with far spanning views. The course offers many challenges to any player reguardleas of ability. You will find no discrimination at this club reguardless of your class, all are welcome as long as you are there to enjoy a good game of golf.
The club pro and his team are approachable, friendly and helpful. With lessons being made affordable so that everyone has the opportunity to improve upon their game.
If you haven’t played this course recently I would reccpment you head out this summer.

Big improvement
Played the course and it’s a big improvement to when I last played there the last time I had a round there was around 3 years ago but I played it again last weekend and big improvements have been made the green were great for the time of the year also the fairway was cut nice

Challenging course
Since I played here a couple of years ago, this course has improved no end. Greens a well prepared, and although not the fastest, present decent putters with a chance. Fairways were cut to a decent length and the rough is not so long as to spoil a score card if a little wayward. Not the longest course around, but the small greens present a challenge to all standards of golfers. Sloping fairways, hilly terrain and prevailing winds require thought and good course management.Friendly staff and an excellent cafe for post round food. Recommended

Not a bad little course for a practice round. The greens could be better
(Round played: May 2016 - Score: 56 Handicap: )

A nice little 9 holer. Tough in parts. They are gradually making improvements. A bit boggy when we played but the food and friendliness in the golf club and café more than made up for it (also they did us a great discount on the fee to make up for the conditions).

greens are not at their best currently. Rest of course not bad though
