Very good course although one hole out of action and the greens still recovering from maintenance

Thought it was a bit expensive at 47.50 for 18 holes but once we started our round I forgot about the money and concentrated on not going in the rough !!!! Course was drand firm. A really good test of golf at orsett. If your not a straight hitter then your n trouble on every hole. Could easily go round with just iron play but must be on your game. Greens were fast and true with good use of bunkers throughout the course. A real test of golf on this course. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will return soon even know it's on the pricey side. Make sure you take plenty of balls !!!! A lovely course and probably the best in Essex

Playable all year round and a course where you must keep the ball in play. Some exceptional holes e.g. 6th and 12th. Always in good condition with true greens.

despite the poor weather for the previous 2 months, only 1 temporary green. And the course was generally in good condition.
Friendly Pro shop and nice clubhouse.
Pins were challenging but that is what you want, marker positions were clear and accurate.
There are plenty of opportunities to birdie if you play your shots into the right areas and have a neat short game as mentioned before, and three of the 4 Par 5's are reachable in 2 if the wind and good bounce is with you.
worth a visit
