Very nice
Well established course that's always in good condition. Nice opening par 5 to ease you in followed by a tough par 4 and then a short par 3. Get off to a good start, keep it straight and this is a joy to play. Wander off line and plenty of gorse awaits your ball. Generally the par threes are comfortable, the 12th is a lovely looking hole. The par fours are tough and the par 5's are not the most testing. It's a good mix.The greens are excellent, the bunkers are all well kept.
Good practice facilities include a chipping and bunker practice area.
Food was excellent.
However, TBH I think they are overpricing the course for non members.

beware of the rough....it has teeth
very similar to a links course. plays much shorter when it is dry. the rough is rough and you don`t want to go in it. You are lucky if you find your ball. Greens are super fast and will catch you out so make sure you have 20 mins on the putting green before tee off. Expensive to play at £50 (in my opinion)Be straight or be annoyed!!!!

great course in Essex
You need you straight game for this course. It goes from fairway to thick rough and it`s not forgiving at all. The greens and lovely and pretty quick. A good true role on them. This is a course you could leave the driver in the car and card a good round. Be straight or take lots of balls with you !!!!Staff are helpful and friendly. nice putting green and chipping area. worth a visit but its well on the pricey side for a round.
