Great condition for winter

A testing layout of some very tight holes, I prefer the holes 12 to 18 as they are very tricky but fair. A good standard of golf course, well worth a visit.

Better every year!
Played Wells many times over the years and have seen it mature into a fine and at times tricky test. Always a friendly welcoming club with good facilities all round including good driving range. Played again with a small group in early June and the whole course was in tip top condition, and couldn't be faulted at all, well maybe, the first cut of rough could be a bit shorter. A nice course, that looks great at this time of year. has a few fiddly holes that arent neccessarily perfect.

Picked up a twilight booking for £16 per player. Real Value for money although Saturday pm was quite busy.Course a little damp in places but a fair variety of holes. Many were played facing oncoming golfers on opposite fairways, which meant accuracy required off of tee. First time played but would play again. Well stocked club shop with helpful staff.

By today's standard, Wells isn't the longest of courses but can still offer a tough test due to speedy undulating greens, an abundance of dog legs and a few holes which are pretty tight (mainly on the back 9).
Tee boxes weren't in the best condition but the greens were of a decent quality and every bunker was lovely and fluffy.
The course has a very parkland feel to it. It felt like a kind of cross between Saltford & Knowle.
All in all, if you're in the area then i'd say to definitely give it a go. But in Bristol we are spoilt for decent courses so it's probably not worth the 45 minute drive. All round, a decent enough course.

Wells is a really enjoyable round of golf. It's not the longest course but it's got enough about it to make it a challenge. The course was really well maintained with the greens, fairways and tees being way above average compared to most I've played this year.

Interesting course with plenty of sloping fairways that you need to master. Course was in good condition. Could do with a few more signs as it's not obvious where the next hole is. Often a long walk between holes.
