This is a very beautiful course, with many interesting holes. Whilst not a hard course I found it quite testing. The weather when I played was very good, but I think the course would be a bit gruesome in poor/windy weather as it is very high and quite exposed for a lot of holes. The views from the tees are fantastic, so take a camera if you can. I could play a lot of golf here!!!!

two of us played it recently in very hot weather, course in good nick and all holes different unlike some place. views were fantastic at times and you can see for miles over cheshire towards wales in the distance.a bargain at the price !! most of the others golfers all seemed very friendy. a very warm welcome after in the clubhouse from couple behind the bar who could not do enough for you, enjoyed a good meal and a cold pint or two while going over the game we had just played. a return visit is a must soon.

16 is a crazy fun hole- 230 yards but at least 50 yards downhill! Brilliant views of Kinder Scout. Very happy to have played at New Mills.

I've played this course a few times over the last few years and the ground staff should be applauded for keeping it in tip top condition. The front nine is still maturing, though already offering some testing course management. Greens are fantastic and not as easy reads as they first appear due to the dramatic backdrop of hills around Kinder Scout. The back nine is very well established with some great mature tree lines that draw the ball. The Quarry hole is my favourite but views from the 15th tee have to be the best going. Clubhouse is one of the friendliest I've ever been in.

Well maintained course, east to find ball in both semi rough and rough. The greens fast despite recent wet weather. Only criticism was the poor condition of some of the bunkers.

A great day out for a Yorkshireman visiting Derbyshire. Great facilities, people, sunshine, course and greens. There is two sides to the course, front 9 which is quite new and wide open which allows some scope for way ward drives to land on other fairways without being punished, although you need a large shot on a couple of holes to make sure you get there. The greens are hard so watch out when you go for them, but they give you confidence when putting as they run very true. The back nine is more mature with trees around to make the drives straighter, a couple of quirke holes, one over the quarry and one down the hillside but still a lovely rolling course with magical views. The greens are a touch softer so you can go at the hole a touch more. Excellent Value for Money and well worth the trip over the Pennines, oh and an ice cream on the route back was a great call.

A great test of your golf prowess. While some holes or Generous ,others are quite challenging.Well worth a visit.
Set in the hills of Derbyshire the front nine being relatively new is open and inviting while the back nine is more of a test.

If you get a nice day the views from the course are magnificent being very high up in Derbyshire.
Surprisingly though the course is not hilly although the drive up to it is. The course has been extended in recent times the front 9 being the new bit and the back 9 over the road from the club house the older more mature course.
