What the club says: Mellor Golf Course is an interesting mixture of moorland and parkland golf. Magnificent views across the Cheshire plain and Derbyshire hills serve as a backdrop for a course to test the skills of all golfers at all levels.
The opening holes although not long provide an immediate examination of shotmaking ability and are set amongst mixed woodland including oak and elegant silver birch, providing the golfer with a greater experience.
Fantastic course in great condition. Staff friendly and attentive. Professional excellent service. Great food and good service. A must play course.
A lovely friendly course well set out. A little wet from all the rain but greens still in good nick

Hilly course on edge of Peak District , get a buggy , course in good condition
(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 90 Handicap: 0)
(Round played: Apr 2017 - Score: 90 Handicap: 16)
The course was very wet, but still played well. The ground staff were working on the last six holes, so was difficult to know where the to hit approach shot to the green. If you've never played before and are playing over the winter here, I suggest you use a carry bag, as from hole 6 you'll be climbing quite a bit.
(Round played: Dec 2016 - Score: 95 Handicap: 18.3)
The course was in very good condition throughout with one exception being the 374 yard 12th, a par 4 which almost looks reachable from the very elevated tee, however this was a little boggy at the bottom of the steep slope.
We have now visited this course about half a dozen times since dropping on it last year when travelling back to Derbyshire from Blackpool. The Pro, Carl Cross, was as welcoming as ever, as were the catering / bar staff.
We'll be back!
