What the club says: Mellor Golf Course is an interesting mixture of moorland and parkland golf. Magnificent views across the Cheshire plain and Derbyshire hills serve as a backdrop for a course to test the skills of all golfers at all levels.
The opening holes although not long provide an immediate examination of shotmaking ability and are set amongst mixed woodland including oak and elegant silver birch, providing the golfer with a greater experience.

I have played here a couple of times and it us absolutely charming. Very well kept, with a design which keeps you on your toes. A good variety of holes. Chances for gmbig hitters do do well if they dare take it on. Beautifully kept and very welcoming. Lovely greens which are quick and true. Members and staff treat you well. It is a must visit and is very affordable. I have paid as little as ?20 to play her - absolute bargain. Fantastic views to be had. It is a bit hilly but worth the effort.

Hidden gem.
Played here on Wednesday found it on golf now. Wow what a great course. A proper hidden gem. If you are in the area . Play it you won't be disappointed. Greens and fairways are lovely every hole has something to offer. Can't wait to come back. David in pro shop offering great serviceReviewer Rating

Interesting course with great views
A really interesting mix of holes that take advantage of the terrain. The greens were in good condition with lots if subtle breaks. It was good to play such a varied course.Fantastic views across to Manchester

Stunning
Genuine hidden Gem but well worth finding.Fantastic views over Derbyshire, Cheshire and Lancashire - you can see Winter Hill on a clear day.
Started my golf on this course aged 14. Recently went back and have never seen the course in better condition. A great challenge lovely facilities. Wish I lived closer as I would rejoin in a heartbeat.

Hidden gem in the Peak District
A well maintained course with interesting holes and great views of the surrounding area. A well stocked pro shop and a very friendly and helpful pro.The facilities are first class. The course plays well and the greens are not for the faint hearted. All in all a great course and club.

Great course
Fabulous but very hilly course, lovely staff and superbly welcoming for our society.Highly recommended but take your crampons( or just hire a buggy)????

Hidden Gem
Played on 1st October, do not be fooled by the length, short by todays standards, more than made up for by the layout which requires well placed tee shots & tough approaches to raised undulating fast greens, that will test all abilities. The course was in first class condition when we played & the views from the top of the course are worth the climb!Reviewer Rating

Beautiful scenery
Got a good deal for a Sunday evening. Lovely course, lots of hills but some rewarding views of Manchester. Course was well kept, challenging narrow drives and great greens. Can’t wait to go back.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 97 Handicap: 19.6)

Amazing condition. Best greens anywhere and quick too! I’ve played many courses including the Lancashire links Lytham Formby etc and these greens are better! The views are magnificent over Manchester and Liverpool and the Welsh hills were visible on the clear day we played. The pro is friendly and the staff really helpful! Superb
A superb golf course, which uses the local contours, brooks, walls & hills superbly.Apart from being very wet, it's in excellent condition, especially the greens which are lightning.
The whole course is up & down with some great tests of golf. You need your climbing boots on to get to 9, but the views from up there are well worth it though.
