The golf course was in very good condition but very hilly. If you were going to play this course then I would use the golf carts on hire. If you didn't then your in for a very hard walk.

Played this course in the height of the summer, temperature was in the 70s that day and we decided to go round the course with buggies, was told it was a championship course and by playing it did I realise it really was, fairways were like a snooker table and the greens are probably one of the best I have seen, really good course.Would advise to play in a really good day to get the best from it.

This is a beautiful course set amidst stunning scenery.

At 6000 yards its not too long and we were round in 4 hours, which is reasonable for a 3-ball on a Sunday afternoon with a few lost balls. It's very hilly in parts, and feels like a moorland track in places, although the fairways are lush and the greens are in excellent condition.

The course has lots of trees, some strategically placed in the middle of fairways to make you think before pulling out the driver - there are holes when you can grip it and rip it, but others where you have to plot your way round. There are some cracking holes too: the 6th is a great risk / reward reachable par 4, the 9th is one of the best par 5s Ive ever played (8 iron, 6 iron, wedge!) and the 7th and 10th are great wee par 4s.

We were also able to get a proper meal in the clubhouse when we came off the course at sunset, which is a pleasant change in Scotland, and all of the course / hotel staff were really helpful pre and post round.

Leave your driver in the bag for most of the holes on Lynedoch and take an oxygen mask for some of the climbs. Some very accurate plotting required on cross-hill fairways. Course is well-maintained and, the ridiculous downhill 15th aside, in good condition.

Lyndoch
Loveley setting with great views. Clubhouse although we didn't use it on our visits appears excellent and welcoming.
Course well kept in lower parts but upper holes have been squeezed in to too small a space. A couple of totally blind par 3's for you to guess your club and where the pin is. A par 5 too with the narrowest of fairways that is really a bit of a joke. 15th has tee perched high with a stunning view and fairway and green a long way below. Would be a good course if they revamped holes 11 to 16 (barring the 15th)

Hilly tough course with lots of tree's and a most difficult 17th. Heavy under ground and a stiff breeze when played which added to the difficulty. all in all a good chalange.

A very good course, just be aware to expect a a lot of steep climbs, shots to hidden greens. Great scenery also. Let down was the lack of yardage posts or markers.
