Forget any negative stuff you've read or heard. I played here for the first time last week...and had a great time. It's a fantastic design, fiendish, long, and water everywhere. It's also in great nick for the time of year - full greens open and true, fairways consistently good. I am going to play there again next week, and regularly -and I live 25 miles away so you can see where I'm going with this: it's outstanding value for money, and if you book online via the club website, even better. I paid £12 for one of the most fun 18 holes of recent years.

played 10/9/2014 just started golf again after 8 years no golf no wind very surprising, sun was shining, what a course !! very interesting and challenging short and long tricky holes plenty of water and hazzards and par 3 island green all views included course guide and buggy a must tho , enjoyed every hole, was looking forward to the next every time, course was in great condition no rush ! green fee was even better had a great round will be back accept the challenge you will not be dissapionted

absolutely loved this course, course is very well looked after and could play at own speed. some great holes and will 100% be back

The Oaks is a fantastic course. It is one of the few courses that plays as an inland links, but without the cost. The green fees are of a fantastic value for money, as the course is kept better than many others who charge you more. The clubhouse could certainly do with being extended, as the shop is very small, and I feel that they could gain a lot more in the way of revenue by having a little more in the way of retail.
The course itself however, is so way laid out that it is obvious that a lot of time has been spent on it's design and preperation. The course has it deceptively easy holes (#6), its stroke breakers (#16, #17) and it's down right difficult competition holes (#7 @ 650yds from yellow). The greens are in exceptional condition all year round and as a guide, they are deceptively fast, so watch out.
This course has fantastically helpful and friendly staff, who do their utmost to assist and to make your day a wonderful one. I would recommend a buggy for this course as it is over 6k yards and quite hilly. Overall, a fantastic round of golf that I would recommend to anyone.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the condition and improvements with the course, clubhouse and staff. The greens were really good and the course itself was immaculate. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be going back.

This is a course on the up, lots and lots of work is being carried out to make this a top venue. A phoenix from the ashes for sure, don't get me wrong there is still a long way to go and the management are the first to admit that but the course itself is in excellent condition, a test for the best! We had a fantastic society event here with all of the players enthusing about the course.
If you want a challenge in the wonderful Cheshire countryside get alone to the Oaks at Mollington you will not be disappointed!!

Played the oaks 28/06/14 and play off 28 came off with a score of 118 and enjoyed every hole, a challenging course with water everywhere the design of the course is brilliant and well looked after the greens fast on the day we visited I would recommend this course to anyone and will certainly be going back.

What a great course a challenge round every corner the design is brilliant and the whole course has had a lot of though put into it the greens superb.I am a high handicapper and came of with a big score but what a joy to play this course.just brilliant.

This place is on the up!!
Ok lets face it this venue has been through some tough times, you only have to read historic reviews on various sites to see that. But they are just that historic reviews!!
Under new management with lots and lots of work going on to improve the whole experience you will not be disappointed with a round of golf here. The staff are friendly, the course challenging and in a wonderful location.
Don't get me wrong there is still work to be done and the team there will be the first to acknowledge that fact, most definitely going in the correct direction!
I urge you to give it a try you'll love it!!!

The oaks at mollington is 1 of the hardest courses I have played.
There is water in play on 16 holes and it is placed
In nearly every drop zone also full of bunkers especially
round the greens.

Course in good condition. Very open and plays like a links. Demands accuracy and good course management to get round. Plenty of water to negotiate especially 17th hole which is an island green. Feel that course could do with a few more distance markers on course as had to rely alot on book purchased at reception for information. Overall a very interesting course to play.
