this is an ok links course, it's a bit tatty, a bit like minehead itself to be honest, also at least 6 of the holes are not really links holes as they wander away from the coast sort of into a field. Still, it's a tough links when then wind is blowing, and the wind was insane when I played it

A great course, the wind plays a big part and makes the course a challenge. The pro shop guys are really helpful and always a warm welcome in the clubhouse. We have played a here a lot recently due to our own course being closed since before Christmas.

Perfect conditions on this 'links course' Greens and fairways for the time of year were really good and the breeze made it a good challenge.

Great fun, good value if you book through teeofftimes as I did. Several reachable par 5's but if the wind blows there are unreachable par 4's, particularly the 16th. Tough windy day today, yesterday I drove the green on the 302 yard 15th with the wind behind, today I hit it just as sweetly but with the wind coming off the sea I didn't even make the carry to the main fairway! Never played links golf before this, I liked it so much I played 4 times in the week we were staying nearby.

I have played this course several times although not for sometime and it was good to return. Playing largely downwind on the front 9 may suggest it is an easy course but turning for home puts that thought to bed. The greens are smooth and slick and are just great. As with a lot of links courses holes can be quite close to one another so you need to keep a watchful eye but I love playing here.
Very friendly clubhouse staff who could not have been more apologetic and accommodating when our food order went slightly astray.

Very good course greens are tricky to read very hard back 9 into the strong wind but front 9 gives you great driving distance! Beautiful views of the sea and the woods my favourite hole was the he who dares 9..... To cut the corner or not ????

To be honest not the best links course I have ever played. Not expensive and so fair enough. Some of the tee off positions are lethal with greens right next to them. Next time I'll wear a helmet.
