Stayed at Butlins and wanted to play a local course. Lucky enough to find this course literally on the doorstep and what a find.Booked a tee time online and able to pay on the day. Turned up just as the sun was coming up. Pro shop were great in detailing what we would need to know regarding the course.
Course is set right next to the beach on a narrow strip that runs away from the clubhouse and then back again so quite tight if you are wayward with your drives and the course is busy. We had a day with light winds and dry weather but can see this being a bigger challenge in other conditions. Greens were fantastic ( I played the 2010 at Celtic manor the same week and these were at least that good) and well maintained, as was the rest of the course. We had some members behind us who were great at keeping us on the right tees and facing the right fairway having not played here before. If you do play visit the clubhouse afterwards for home made cake and a hot drink nearly as good as the course. If you get the chance play here. I loved it.

Nice links course
Really enjoyed this course, certainly helped with the wind going in the right direction. Made the last 4 holes challenging to say the least. Greens in excellent nick(Round played: Nov 2021 - Score: 88 Handicap: 17.6)

Lovely links course

A great course, the wind plays a big part and makes the course a challenge. The pro shop guys are really helpful and always a warm welcome in the clubhouse. We have played a here a lot recently due to our own course being closed since before Christmas.

I have played this course several times although not for sometime and it was good to return. Playing largely downwind on the front 9 may suggest it is an easy course but turning for home puts that thought to bed. The greens are smooth and slick and are just great. As with a lot of links courses holes can be quite close to one another so you need to keep a watchful eye but I love playing here.
Very friendly clubhouse staff who could not have been more apologetic and accommodating when our food order went slightly astray.

Very good course greens are tricky to read very hard back 9 into the strong wind but front 9 gives you great driving distance! Beautiful views of the sea and the woods my favourite hole was the he who dares 9..... To cut the corner or not ????

Greens were in great condition, really quick and true. Back 9 all played alongside the coast, superb venue with the sun setting. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, letting me tee off earlier than my 4pm twilight time as it was quiet. Will definitely play here again when in the area.
