What the club says: The course benefits from the natural features of numerous old oak trees and low undulating land that lends itself to an enjoyable round of golf rather than a physically exhausting round.

The course itself measures 5,500 yards and is made up of 1 par 5, 13 par 4s and 4 par 3s and provides a test for all standards of golfer. With a 12-bay, floodlit driving range, putting green and a well set out clubhouse that can cater for any type of function, St Andrews Major Golf Club provides an excellent golfing and social atmosphere.

The fairway are at the length the rough should be. The rough is like meadow. Greens have a few weeds and divets (obviously down to golfers not repairing them) just the grass length really! But still a good day out for ?15

A warm sunny morning 24/5/17. Just wanted to play 9 £8 with County Card. Pleasant welcome keen to help. Last played here when it was 18 now just a 9 hole course. Fairway grass a bit long greens okay . Not particularly challenging . Fine if you fancy spending a couple of hours playing some golf.

Paid only £15 after using a £5 off voucher on Friday 4th April.

Greens were good, rough thick in places, but some muddy walks to tees.

However, blind tee shots at 8, 9 & 10 after the 6 & 7 involved guess work for the first time visitor; there is also a 180 yard walk back to the 2nd tee.

No great holes, but 1st & 11th will test most.

who every writes good reviews on this course must have been another planet we played it on the 14-10-12 and it only had 14 holes open we were not told this when we booked on the 12-10-12 and we were told it would be 20£ but when we went to pay the owner john came out he said he was doing us a faviour as it should be £25 we seen this as a lie just trying to get an extra buck out of us as for the course it was in a very poor standard flooding every where very poor bunkers as the website states it can can be played all year around as it has great drainage what a joke its so sad to see this club in decline and not being cared for and ripping people off with their service been playing this course since it first opened up as a 9holes course sorry but will not be playing this mud bath again and being ripped off by the owner

On the clubs website they take great pride on the condition of their greens. The greens were everything but good. Uneven and inconsistent with massive holes in some of the greens.

after a harsh winter i think the course has healed very well, the greens are excellent and with new bunkers and tight fairways the course will be very demanding.
