Not in the best of nick. Greens and Tees in need of a little TLC. pro and club staff very attentive and friendly. Splendid views of city from the top of the course. 13th Tee provides great view and the green below is a fine target for the 210m par 3.

The course was good and bad in places. The greens weren't the best, and there were a few winter tees - including the par 3 signature hole which we didnt get to enjoy the proper version of. The course is very tight and there was blind shots to holes with no warning bell etc for you to hit to allow the players behind to know if you had finished the hole! The hole crossovers caused delays in play. Overall the course wasn't the best but the clubhouse was immaculate, very nice.

Not one for the faint hearted. Hilliest course I've ever played (much steeper than Swanston) and with a rather confusing layout with lots of crossing over and walking between holes. Worth the hike for some of the views though. Fairways and layout were a lot of fun and it plays longer than the par suggests thanks to the elevation. Very helpful pro gave us some navigation tips at the first tee but a few "next tee" signs wouldn't hurt.

The greens were rather disappointing - inconsistent speeds and surprisingly soggy considering it hadn't rained for a few days. Course was practically deserted when we played but still managed to get a lecture from a jobsworth member about our speed of play. We finished our round in 3.5 hours (pretty good considering the layout and finding our way about for the first time) but he thought he'd speed us up by talking to us for 5 minutes about hurrying up. We offered to let him play through, even though he was over a hole's length behind us, but he didn't want to. Just wanted to spoil our day. Couldn't relax after that and won't be back. There's no shortage of excellenthe courses with welcomingredients members in the area. Shame really.
