Not for the faint hearted!
Steep sloping fairways on several holes can punish even reasonable shots as the ball trundles down to the edge of the adjacent fairway; especially in dry weather. Considerable changes of elevation across the course means a good physical work out for all. Challenging and sometimes dramatic Par 3s add to the fun! Friendly club and excellent clubhouse facilities round out a good day out. Visitors welcome.Reviewer Rating

This was my first time on the course, very tricky in places and if you don't know the course very challenging. I would recommend a powered trolley as you are climbing mounting. The course would make a lot of money if they invested in golf carts.

Hilly and then some
A very hilly course which requires a motorised trolley unless you like carrying a heavy bag up mountain sides. Some of the greens are patchy but run absolutely true so holing from 10 ft or less is always on. The short 13th is one of several great holes.Reviewer Rating

Crazy Golf
Really not my cup of tea. Hilliest course I ever played. Strathpeffer Comrie and Craigie Hill are bowling greens in comparison. Very few flat lies and some serious climbing up and down.A lot of frankly dangerous shared fairways with crossing holes. Friendly pro and members, but a unique experience that didn't suit me. Nice views across Edinburgh

Potential being let slip
More should be done to rescue this interesting medium course with a good location in Edinburgh. People looked flat, the pro looked flat, the course looked flat.... in all but geology. Tee boxes looked shabby, some greens were in very poor condition and a layout that directs several holes directly into the prevailing winds is looking to cram holes into a space rather than think of the player. It had so much more potential.....that said it is worth the green fees just to play the 13th hole. This course is very much geared to high handicappers and ladies.Reviewer Rating
