Worth a Visit
Have played here a few times and it is a nice course. Some really challenging holes, to someone of my ability (or lack of), and now that they have swapped the course around having the "Watery Grave" in the front 9 is better as it used to spoil my round having it at 17. Now it is hole 8 I have a few more holes to forget my disasters!!!Reviewer Rating

Decent course
Ok, course. Very dry and with the slopes it is imperitive you know where to place your drives.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 88 Handicap: 21.9)

Due to covid 19, and very hot weather the fairways was very dry, but good condition but the greens were in excellent condition. Plus they have put hooks on the flags which is a great idea. Keep up the good work

It’s great to see the course back green again.

You won't find a better value course in Essex. Quite a challenging little course which requires good course strategy.

Very good, challenging course with both water and bunker hazards. The 15th and 17th holes are both particularly cgallenging.

Fabulous course, great facilities and friendly staff. If there is one criticism, no course Marshall to sort out slow play issues.

£12 from tee of times, very good value!
Greens were a bit ropey and bouncy....but overall very nice and the clubhouse has had a massive facelift recently, well worth having a relaxing shower and beer afterwards.

Good condition, considering the rain
The first few holes get you thinking that it's going to be an easy course, but there are some lovely holes and some challenging ones too. Hole 6 is a tough par 5; hole 7 is a nice little dogleg; 8 is a fabulous hole - go long off the tee and you'll hit the water, but lay up too short and you'll have a long carry over the water. 10 & 18 are long par 4s, and the par 5 14th has a stream right in front of the green.
