hilly for essex
Interesting course particularly round holes 6, 7, 8 where the slopes are steep and the water in front of the green quite a challenge for the second shot.Reviewer Rating

Interesting terrain
This is a short course 5700 yards on the yellows but is arranged across interesting terrain. The first five holes are straight forward on level ground, then the sixth par five of 552 yards is over a hill to a closely guarded green in a valley with a row of trees and a pond. The seventh goes back up the hill on a dog leg right with green guarded with hedgerow and tree. The eighth is a short 313yard par 4 but with a big pond to clear right in front of the green.The 14th is a difficult par five dog leg left across a steep side slope where balls run to the bottom of the slope from a blind tee shot. The green is guarded with a stream in front. The 15th green has a pond in front. Then the closing 3 holes are straightforward on the level.

Decent course

Played in June in hot weather, good value for money, friendly staff, greens in good condition, fairways need attention very baron, there are some very good holes, it didn't cost us much, would like to play again and have some food as was played during covid times.Reviewer Rating

I enjoyed the round, course is in good condition but fairways are a bit long and need a cut, most holes unless you were in the middle of the fairway you couldn't tell if you are in the semi rough or not

Tough course. Got a eagle. Enjoyed the day. Course was very wet. I think it had alot of rain. Maybe needs more drains. Would recommend though.
