Hilly but great fun
One to test the ankles and calf?s but well worth the effort.Tests your skills with some challenging lies (feet above or below ball).
Exceptional views and greens were in great condition.

Hilly
Certainly a challenge! No flat lies the ball ie often above or below your feet.
The course and greens were excellent. The greens need a good read to get the right line for a good putt.

Little gem
Very hilly course, fairways slope a lot, greens very good. Drives need to be very straight, cause trees line the fairways as well. Well maintained course, friendly staff.Reviewer Rating

Hilly and challenging
Excellent breakfast to start. Greens in great condition for time of year. Friendly welcome. Disappointed we hadn't been warned that 11th was closed and a short par 3 incerted after 12, but found our way around it. Enjoyed the day, legs ached next day, though. Will comeback.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 97 Handicap: 17.2)

My golf
It was my brothers birthday so paid for him. Course was in great condition. We started on back nine has it was busy on front. The greens were very fast to start with due to them being a bit frozen early on..
I would deffo play it again no problem staff were great drinks were very reasonable for the price.

Great course
Unfortunately the weather Gods were against us as it absolutely threw it down. We started on the back 9 to avoid a society in front of us, but due to the poor weather we didn't see anyone else on the course. There are a few issues with tee boxes, but despite that, the back 9 is one of the nicest courses I've seen, absolutely chock full of character. The front 9 had a couple of nice holes too. Just get those tee boxes tidied and this would be outstanding.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 95 Handicap: 17.7)

A very well kept course
6 of us played Mapperley as part of our annual golf weekend away and were all very impressed. The course is very interesting, very challenging and very well kept. It also offers some fantastic views. Word of warning though, make sure you read those greens properly as most of them are very deceptive and actually do the opposite to what the naked eye is telling you. Very confusing when a seemingly uphill putt is gaining pace as it whistles past the hole!Reviewer Rating
