Blue purple matchplay event
Lovely looking course, decent food, decent value, excellent staff especially wendy and annabel behind the bar. Shame the greens were in need of some love.(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 0 Handicap: )

Underwhelmed given reputation
Some nice holes but fairways were in need of attention and greens very inconsistent. Had the feel of a 'public course'. Better value at other local courses.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 98 Handicap: 24)

A course that will not disappoint
Sweetwoods is an attractive course with a mix of holes creating an interesting and picturesque setting for all players to have fun. The staff are great and with a creative chef in the kitchen the food will bring a smile. One not to miss if your in the area. Just pop in for lunch and see for yourself.

Only downside was the pace of play and the proshop's inability to honour our teetimes. This is probably the third year in a row where we have booked a golfbreak been given tee-times then turned up on the day to find our tee-time has been moved and not just by 10 or 20 mins this time by a whole hour.
The fact that the Kingfisher is now a 9 hole means that more people are being let on the Waterfall and unfortunately a lot of them can't play. We arrived on the tee on Sunday afternoon at our confirmed tee-time to find another group of 8 with the same tee time. The pro-shop said ours had been moved (effectively to fit them in) and therefore they went off first. Over 5 hours and plenty of hacking later both us and the course we glad to see the back of them. To top it off we then had to rush to the hotel and only made dinner by the skin of our teeth.
Golfbreaks you really need to do something about this.

Absolutely Dire! Avoid!!!!
Well, this proved to be a absolute cow field! It should be realistically closed over the winter if that's what they are offering as it was simply a bog! Balls plugging everywhere and managed to lose one in full sight on the fairway! Cannot understand why this place was open. Clearly the owners were desperate for the cash! Please AVOID AT ALL COSTSReviewer Rating

Highly recommended charming course
Not a bad hole on this course. Every hole has something to offer and has its own challenges to overcome. You'll probably want a trolly round here to manage all the hills! Carry at your own risk.Playing really well in the winter being very well looked after. It is an old and beautiful course so you would expect it to play well which indeed it does. From previous experience improvements are still being made but right now there is no half way house. A mobile one can sometimes be found after the 9th however.
Putting green and some nets by the first to warm up on or you take a little trek to use the range. Spike bar was closed on my last visit but the club house is extensive with everything you could want. Well staffed with friendly faces and good value and selection.
Not cheap to play as a group of guests but if you can get out there with a member it is great value for money.

Well worth the visit
As always the mannings heath water fall was in great condition, a tad muddy once your away from the fairway, and possibly 2 greens a little wobbly, but this is Oct afterall(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 98 Handicap: 25.6)
